  • The capital city of Mahikeng in the North West province has been a place of contention, from prior to democracy in 1994 through to the present. It was once a booming town with so much potential. Yet now, an Auditor-General report has stated it’s dealing with ‘financial and operational collapse’. Eyewitness News visited the historical town to discover what happened to this city once brimming with opportunity and to unpack the extent of the disintegration.

It has not evaporated, the anc did their job just like the republicans under Abraham Lincoln did their job. You are coming from a pint that black people can’t rule themselves, which is a fallacy. Half of Europe lives in poverty and they govern themselves with no intervention from outsiders like we face in africa. Fastest growing economies are in Africa, have you heard about Rwanda, Angola, Ethiopia.
By the way Detroit is a capital city, what has happened to it?

This is heartbreaking to watch, I lived in Mahikeng for 8 years during the early 1990's when it was a wonderful multiracial, multicultural town where everything worked and incredible development was taking place among the Motswana people with excellent schools & a university and a life of ever growing pride and dignity. It was a rapidly developing rainbow nation before the term "Rainbow Nation" was coined by Bishop Tutu. To see the poverty, degradation & filth it has descended to under the ANC is indescribable.

The current South Africa is only 25 yrs old, a country that came out of apartheid, a country were majority of the wealthy is in the hands of 8% of the population. Tell me if South Africa has not almost quadrupled it’s economy in 25 yrs? Tell me if South Africa is not doing better than all the major emerging economies this year economically, That is including, China, Brazil and Russia.
Even though China has done well, there has been gross corruption, right now a building company worth $300b is about to collapse in China. What happened in 2008, gross corruption in America caused the Great Recession, and no one went to jail. Dude, yes corruption is bad, mismanaged is bad but black South Africans just need to keep fighting, at-least Zuma went to prison, Nixon in America never went to prison.
Here is another thing you can look, during the World Cup 2010, most companies that build those stadiums were white owned, they ripped people off big time, no one talks about that. Africans we have a problem, we look down on ourselves, this is why we see nothing good in africa or anything that’s black governed.
We will get better all across Africa, we just need to keep fighting, and instead of complaining let us find solutions. Remember half of Europe lives in poverty.

This is what eventually happens with socialism, BEE and affirmative action, Let's not forget government handouts. Let's govern our societies with merit, not by social justice. Let's have firm borders and kick China out of our country. Let's go back to made in South Africa and Let's bring back jobs and manufacturing back in SA. Blacks in SA, and blacks in Africa have to realize, we are on our own...nobody is coming to help...when they do, only the rich get the richer(politicians and the connected)of all races. It's time we cleaned up our streets, we fixed our dilapidated infrastructure and we feed our neighbors and take care of the orphaned. No government system is going to help, instead they serve to divide, and control us by throwing a penny or two at our young girls, so they get pregnant out of wedlock, to get government money. The education system needs a serous upgrade, much like the education systems in private and rich schools otherwise abolish government schools. Invest more in skills bases initiatives, we already have too many college educated unemployed people.

The varsity is not accepting our kids to study and is too expensive for them NSFS not helping, our kids end up smoking drugs on the streets because there are no jobs still.
Those Kids' will VOTE for EFF thinking is a choice , because that's how EFF corrupt young kids who are desperate and defenseless and old people will continue and remain with their ANC because they where told that Nelson Mandela freed them. Even if they don't know how did he free them or free them from what because they where in Bop and Bop was not part of Apartheid SA but they will still Vote for ANC because they were misinformed and misled by the corrupt ANC.
THIS is because DA not really active in the province they are pulling their legs so i believe DA go only where they believe they will gain votes so it means they also don't care because Mafikeng has nothing fruitful for them.
Mafikeng is totally doomed and this will spread to the Whole Province, Rustenburg is not thriving but it has Platinum i don't know where all money is going.
what's going to happen when Platinum finishes , because some of us can see that this hyenas brought by ANC to dig up our land want to make sure that by the time we realize that nothing has been done to build Rustenburg and town is still empty that's when they will be finishing up the last platinum and gone.
