Here's the actual important thing you need to know: 1: ANC waited till election time to pull this move in order to gather masses of votes from their uninformed masses. 2: The usual coffers dipped into for the gravy train are under scrutiny, so a new coffer is needed. It will take years of abuse before investigations even begin, so we have another two or three terms before that will dry up. All in all, good move, if you are a cadre. Can there be a clause in this bill that also forces all politicians and their families to have to be seen in public hospitals. Will solve all problems in public healthcare faster than NHI

So if private institutions don't have a contract with the NHI will they stop offering services via medical aid? if no then people will still have a choice for their private institution, if the owner of the private institutions wants to join the NHI then its their choice, they prioritize money over life.
