THANK GOD a Symposium version Not read by Kermit.
Great Audiobook, thank you Full audiobooks for everyone!
I listened to this entire thing and got no idea what’s happening
🤣may be you can try once more
No to be fair the audio recording is very bland, and it's not portraying the nuance of whats going on cuz I feel like the readers don't have a clue whats going on lol
It's a kid fucking party it's disgusting
About a Greek philosopher named Plato this is literally about love, life, etc. But it's better to read the book than listen to this audio book though 😂
flowerz this is definitely not for you. Start by reading el pato Lucas.
Shout out from Brazil's contryside new admire of Sócrates! Never Heard Nothing like that before! Thanks
This was a great recording. The dialogue between Socrates and Diotima was orgasmic.
I don't know why some genius film director doesn't make a movie of this.
Yes that would be a good one
Would probably be similar to 12 Angry Men in the way that it would only take place in one room with few main characters
I recall a French animated version of this a professor showed us once.
I suppose it would be hard to. The wit is very much in the dialoge.
Someone did. There's a brittish version called "the drinking party" here on CZcams. (Studying the book for school.)
Anyone else here for last minute revision?
Thank You
despite suggesting that women are more a practical pairing but not a true passionate love match, this is great. sometimes it feels like they're making every attempt to justify the fact that they loved to play with the young men they "mentored".. their groupies.
they don't have to. it was normal then
it's the norm now. lol. it's a great read. I could totally see someone modernizing and reviving it for younger generations.
I ❤️ Plato!
So far it is all the motivations of imagination, and beautifully enriching book. Also tire of hearing references to it and not knowing anything about it.
Check out miss me by the impures
Is a jam
i wish i could understnd the second part better
well the best thing you can do is maybe bring an Indian man who has the most precise and proper English accent.... as i understand nothing of what he said.... and all actors and actresses in the conversation at least stated the connection among these people in Plato or Socrates ' time

Alcibiades needs to crank the vibe.

Alcibiades voice was a bit obnoxious
The Indian accent...damnit!!
Al C. Beeadis
I’m glad I’m not the only here that has to point out the audio quality is garbage and the Indian accent is nearly incomprehensible

Pausanias is too fast.
Constant Narratives like "he said" are nonsense and make it intolerable to listen to. We know he just said that he has a completely different bloody voice.
The drunk guy is performing too much way worse than the Indian accent for me
Play Dough? 🤨
The constant swapping of narrators is distracting
too much vocal fry impossible to listen to
oh great....a thick indian accent.......where is richard burton when you want easy listening......seriously guys its about effective and smooth narration not identity politics
Thank you so much for giving a heads up - before I became apoplectic, upon the above discovery
Enough already… this is out of control
I enjoyed the narration
@@RFLEEZYUBZ you’re either Indian or a liar
Yea and let's have women read the most homoerotic sausage fest in history 😅
What! Women weren't allowed at the Symposium? This sounds like a job for the "EQUITEAM"!!!
Yea and let's have a bunch of women read the first sausage fest in history. Women weren't allowed at the Symposium huh? Well we'll fix that! EQUITEAM!!! UNITE!!!!
God that female narrators voice is shrill and unpleasant to the ear.........sorry to say
nup cant do it....the thick indian accent is almost undecipherable...........epic fail in the name of wokeness
Could you be more obvious about the type of person you are? Lmao. You’re bringing weird right wing politics into an audiobook
@@whosaprettykitty5076 sometimes a cigar is just a cigar. I’m a leftist Marxist and I had to find another audio that I could understand.
Notice that Agathon didn't invite any women to his party... Here women have come and ruined this dialogue. I wonder why Agathon was such a sexist...
Can women please stop audiobooking the classics! Is this a conspiracy or something? Lol, this is not usable.
