Joy cons attached by a Mortis system is a brilliant idea, what's neat about doing it that way is that the old joy cons could have an adapter to create the same magnetic Mortis set up. The new joy cons could still charge through wireless charging as well! That would be really neat, I hope the rumors are true.
Are they sure the magnetic leak isnt for the joystick? That they mean Hall effect sensor, thats magnetic right?? Magnetic rails just wont work, they need to be so strong to stick while playing while easy enough to switch. We'll see all in time 😊
Maybe New Joy-Cons connect like magnetic computer fans that stick together. There's an electrical pad system with the magnets.
I think this would be a huge improvement for the Joy-Cons if there’s any magnetic connections in it. The only issue is that the magnets could get rusty over time meaning that there’s potential rust dust inside the Joy-Con controller. The magnets need to be stainless steel in order for it to work. We just had to wait and see what does the Switch 2 look like when it gets revealed.
What about the Facebook leak?
I saw the video on Mike Odyssey's page. If true then Mobapad has broken a NDA and ruined their business relationship with Nintendo.
I just imagine Zach just pulling a Squidward, just slamming his head on the cash register, or in this case, the upload button, repetitively for months.
This has been a great day for Switch 2 rumors! And I really hope that its true that both games and current controllers (even only over bluetooth) will be usable on the upcoming console. I also hope that it's true it will release this year after all - but as you said, that seems to be a little bit more shady "information".
I think that they'll release an accessory for the switch 2 that you can attach it to, and it has rails so you can use the old joy-cons

I think the magnetic feature will just help the Switch lock into place with a similar rail connection. I know currently some people who connect and remove their joycon often the rail system connection does get looser allow the joycon to slip off easier. If magnets help lock it into place better that just makes the system a bit more secure. Currently there’s a physical button to lock the rail into place which is prone to wear and tear this would eliminate that weakness. Hopefully they also have a great solution to eliminate the drift issue.
Hopefully the magnetic joy con eliminate the joy con drift problem. Also, until the new NS2 is released I don't know what to think.
Zac when do you guesstimate the S2 coming out and do you think they made it more compatible to play large file rpg and such without lag and will run faster and smoother
I'd say analog triggers are a necessity I hope they don't overlook that again.
I know this would sound crazy but I kind of like to see a port at the top of the screen where you can add a second screen magnetically and have dual screens like the DS that you could pull apart for two player gameplay for things like Battleship where you don't want to see the other person's screen
i feel like they're taking a page out of the Legion Go joycons.
I hope the next Nintendo console which is the switch 2 can actually run Minecraft without bugging out allthe time

i am very disappointed by the leaked abilities of switch 2..it is a upgrade but nothing as big as i hoped it would be..i was hoping it would be series s capable it is far short
I feel like Nintendo is a divided company. It has divisions that make carefully crafted, fun, innovative games, and ones that develop the new systems, and try to make them as great as they possibly can be, and push the gaming industry beyond its limits. Then you have a part of Nintendo that fights over aggressively on petty legal disputes, and doesn’t regulate prices for legacy titles, and refuses to localize Mother 3 for the west, and all the other bullcrap.

Hmm. If they're magnetic... maybe that stupid name Switch Attach might actually be the name. If they decide to have other accessories other than just the joy cons. Eh I know it's Nintendo and they like gimmicks but just gimme a darn controller. Creative ways to play get old, at the end of the day I just want to sit down and play. Mouse and keyboard, or with a controller. That's it. I don't need a lightsaber for Zelda, and I don't need a key fob to start a car in Mario kart. Just regular ol controller please.

At this point, I am just watching his videos for his calm voice, I couldn't care less if the update is legit, I am just enjoying hearing his voice every day. No h0me oh 🫡
