They sound like they are of the same tribe, but he's said that he's a Luo, from Mbita, actually, a Suba, and she talked of ruracio, which is the Kikuyu word for dowry/marriage process. And so I stand to be corrected, if I've made the wrong assumptions. I do not know them personally. Just deducted from the video.
@SKG SLICER yep. Its the politicians who instigate it. If you think about it, Luos never really fight with Luhyas. Why? Because we are shemejis. Lots of intermarriages between the two communities.
Moi tried to create border chaos between the Kisiis and Luos at Rongo. Didnt work. Why? We have many grandmothers, aunties and sisters in law who are Kisiis.
The same goes with the Nandis at Chemelil and Muhoroni, to a small extent.
Maybe if we have more and more intermarriages between the Kikuyus and the Luos - and its already happenning - the extreme bigotry and hatred will stop, coz you wont really wish death and speak bad against your own kids and grandkids who are half Luos half Kikuyus. Your inlaws too.
My sisters in law are Kisiis and Kikuyu by the way. Lollest.

@SKG SLICER We share a border with the Nandis at Chemelil and Muhoroni, and so yes, you'll find some intermarriage between the 2 communities. At the same time, Luos and Nandis have always fought each other - from precolonial days, and so the beef - whatever beef it is that they have with each other - goes on.
