The 9 series cart has so many great features! Like the plug in the drawer! You can fill the drawer full of ice and use the slide out trays to keep things cool. Love DCS

8:16... you do not drop a match in there. If your igniter is not working for some reason, you just turn the gas on, bring a match to the hole, and that will ignite the burner. If you drop matches in there, you will probably clog that and won't be able to used that feature.

14:30 - It seems that the (heat deflector) plates underneath the burners heat up and create radiant heat between the legs of the U-Burner. This prevents the U burner from having a colder spot down the centre line of the burner.. This is also the reason why this model has a single line of holes on the top of the burner and not a row of ports on the sides of the U burner as this configuration would cause juices and grease dripping on the heat deflector plates to combust creating unwanted flare ups and carbon filled flames that will soot up your meat. Thanks for coming.

I used to love my Weber Genesis platinum but then I bought the DCS 48 inch …if I could marry it I would. Everything I bbq comes out smacking. I’ll never buy anything else.
Con is they don’t keep parts long.

Do NOT buy a DCS grill if you are looking for one that will hold up. Bought a series 9 two years ago and have had the following problems. Grill grate rusting, lights inside the grill stop working, the burners got crusty and produced a poor flame, and the knob fell apart. All those things under warranty. I called to get service and they told me they have no one in my area that will fix them. After a lot of phone calls and getting the DCS rep involved they did find someone to come out. The grill grates are not covered, the knob was not either. They did replace the burners, but the tech said they will fail again because he sees it all the time. The lights don't work still, and no one will help me getting these fixed unless I pay out of pocket. I paid $ 8,000 for my grill and I shouldn't have to pay for what should be under warranty. I had better luck with a $ 800 Webber than this grill. Just look at what parts cost for these things, I wish I would have done more homework before purchasing it. I also called corporate and they are Rude.

I don't think magnets will work if the shelves are high quality stainless steel.

I bought a DCS grill.circa 1999 off of Facebook marketplace. $400 of parts later it's a champ. Cant believe you aren't familiar with the brand, they were one of the original high end grill brands but horrible corporate management over the years. No dealers like working with them.

They have fantastic corporate management. Fisher paykel has an excellent reputation and adding DCS has just made it a plus. Customer service down to the unmatched quality of the unit. DCS is fantastic.
