I read some reviews of Musée Matisse and they said very few of Matisse’s paintings were there and instead it was mostly other people who’ve been inspired by him including the main guy who many people don’t know and it seemed that maybe Matisse’s paintings could be on loan to other museums around the worlds for $$$$.

Yeah, it’s crammed with trippers tripping over other trippers; a lot of the non-Vieille Ville architecture isn’t floating anyone’s boat; heck, even the famed Promenade des Anglais can seem a drag of a main drag if you’re not in the mood. But in toto, and laying aside your preconceived notions, you’ll be charmed by a gorgeous Italianate Old Town; wooed by the winning weather; seduced by the seemingly preternaturally cerulean sea; hell, even the locals seem ok, for a tourist town. Just don’t mention the beach.
