If you’re a fan of views, take some time out to climb up Castle Hill-one of the most popular things to do in Nice, France. This lookout spot, which towers over Nice, was once the site of a castle. That’s gone now, but it’s fortified walls and a cathedral still remain. There’s a viewing platform at the top and landscaped grounds replete with a man made waterfall. And if you don’t want to or can’t walk up, you can take the elevator. Other historical spots worth visiting are the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Cathedral, built for the Russian community of Nice in 1912, and of course the Old Town and Old Port.
If beaches are among your list of things to do in Nice, France (why else are you in Nice in the summer, right?), then try to avoid the main beaches. Instead, we recommend going where the locals lay their towels. La Reserve and Coco Beach are both tiny, rock-lined bays with azure waters, perfect for snorkeling and jumping off the rocks into the ocean. For sunbathing, head to Plage Beau Rivage. It’s a private beach, so you’ll be guaranteed your own sun lounger and parasol once you pay admission. Grab lunch at the excellent oceanside restaurants there, too.
This is just a sample of the things to do in Nice, France, for visitors worldwide. There are countless more day trips, promenades, and architectural marvels in the area. So if you want to build your Nice bucket list, watch on for more inspiration. If you liked this video, give it a thumbs up and share it. Well said, we strongly concur! Thank you for watching our content and for sharing your thoughts. What other types of video would you like to see?
Id definitely want to shop and walk through the midevil buildings
The main beach in Nice is stony and unpleasant to walk on, especially in bare feet.
Better than sand which is messy, gets everywhere and turns water into mud. Just wear sandals on pebble beaches.
Really good video, wish I’d seen it before I went to Nice recently as I missed some of these places. However, you have to make some effort to pronounce the towns somewhat correctly and not slaughter them. 😊
Thanks for the tips! What other location would you like us to cover next?

How random…frankly the best US has to offer does not come close to Nice…and Nice is far from the best of Mediterranean/European coastal towns.
It's not a sand beach. Pebble beach.
Even the “sand beach “ is pebble?!

Goin!! GONE,....
Nice, France then I realized it's actually a name of the city, ha-ha 🤣
You had us there!
I have just returned from Nice, I am disgusted, the worst beach I have seen in my 43 years. The city...dirty...untidy,, after 10 pm it is critical to walk around the city alone as a woman!!! I am disgusted, I hope that I will never have to come to that country again, especially to that part of France!!! France is not what it used to be!!!! Very strange asylum seekers, who are ready to attack you at any moment!!! When I returned to my home in Zurich, I said, thank you God for my beautiful Switzerland and every piece of this country.Too many fabricated stories from the Cote d'Azur and the cities ... most of them are not true!!!!
What did they do? Where did the refugees touch you?
Same!! I think that Nice and the “Côte d’Azur” in general are overrated to say the least.
I don't think you've ever been to Nice. I live there and It's not like that at all. 6 million of tourists each year, people keep coming, must be not that bad. It's a very pleasant place to live and go on vacations. Also, It's a city with a beach. But you don't go to Nice for the beach, you go for the food, the nightlife, the architecture, the museums, the history, the villages around, etc. There are nice beaches all around the city. What a weird comment.
@@Misterjingle I go there every year. But I only go because I like being touched by refugees
Maybe you're the problem?
I just got back from Nice and found it super overrated. Dirt, chaos, unpleasant smells, lots of poor quality restaurants and shops. Last but not least, I didn't even feel safe, especially on the promenade.
After ten days I couldn't wait to leave.
Interesting, thank you for sharing your information about Nice. Which other city/location would you like us to cover next?
What made you feel unsafe because I'm planning my first trip there. Thanks!
Maybe you're the problem?
Just had a terror attack on south of Spain....
