    That's great Andy thanks very much... I dunno how you hit on the idea of playing with those particular CV settings, but I'm glad ya did! And no bung eh... HURRAH! 👍

    • @modeloco
      @modeloco  Před 2 dny

      I’m sure somebody will but, I won’t be, unless there’s an issue. Have opened up the tender on other reviews when sound decoders and speakers need fitting but, as this is all self contained didn’t need to. I don’t take the locomotive base plates off usually though, just the tenders, again, unless there’s an issue. 🙏

    Thanks for this, good to know. Noticed after initial running-in chimney had "bridged" and cleared it with a tissue.
    As for the bung, first removal saw it spring out of my grip and vanish somewhere on the floor (found it eventually), so hoping I get used to it 😊. Might have been nice if they included a spare bung in the bag of bits but haven't seen one.

    Hi Andy, are you able to provide a list of Hornby CV's for the Scotsman with the steam generator's my brother and I have had a similar problem and your thoughtful and helpful video for us all is to be commended. It is a shame that there does not appear to be any other mention of this fix on the internet or Hornby's own web site, kudos to you👏👏. Your video suggests Hornby recommended the CV changes you presented did they define what CV211 and CV212 control?

    • @modeloco
      @modeloco  Před 4 dny

      @@davespratt9533 Hi Dave, Hornby indeed recommended these when I explained the issues of bridging, bubbling up, flooding, call it what you will, highlighted in my review video before this one and, in part, on here as well. What I wrote down, as instructed, I’ve just passed on and as I tried it on my own model, in real time, whilst filming and which has been successful by altering just one, down by 5 as shown. There was something mentioned about chuff rate and in increments of 5 on each, to see what happens or failing that, a complete reset but, I was taking down specifics, not exact details. The full CV list is titled within the app on screen when you refresh it, as shown. That’s as much as I know and hope this helps👍

      Hi Carl, Thanks for getting in touch. My P2 is fine and sorry to hear. The fix is only for Flying Scotsman so, get in touch with Hornby. I did read one guy cured his P2 by going on to using filtered water. Have you tried that? Regards, Andy.
