I definitely will enjoy the vinyl Kaiju type figure than S.H.MonsterArts one because at least i do not need necessary pay too much 😅. Vinyl King Ghidorah in 1991 version it is fun figure to play in anytime, anyplace for my opinion, nice job, Steven 🤗.
Honestly, this is why I often struggle to find good quality Kaiju figures. Cause the good quality ones with lots of articulation, like S.H. Monsterarts, cost an arm and a leg in terms of price, while the cheaper alternatives like vinyl figures, look like crap. And there's no in between option for people on a budget.
@@Tyrannosaurus_rex. Ya know, there is such a thing as over-hype? Also, I prefer source accurate painting and sculpting, AND lots of articulation for cool posing. Otherwise, I'm basically just getting a brick.
@@Tyrannosaurus_rex. yeah no bandai could at least sculpt good proportions to the vinyl line but they only give it to the SHMA and HG Gashapon lines? Really not fair. no way they can make the hg gashapon look like a mini shma while they still make the vinyl line look crappy
I noticed the kaiser king ghidorah heads had a similar theme where the middle and one other head look pretty similar but the other in a different facial pose
I'm curious why they shy away from articulation in the necks. The original 8" and the Trendmasters figures all had a simple swivel at the base of each neck. It wouldn't be hard to do it in this scale and it would make the figure way more fun.
Bandai is very very finicky about adding too much articulation and have been for decades. Every Ghidorah done by them with the exception of the anime trilogy version had no neck articulations or head articulations. Heck up until now most releases had no wing articulation and only the legs were articulated. My only guesses why this is the case is more articulations=more money spent and price jack up. This figure would've gone from 4000 yen to like 5000 or even 6000 in extreme cases if it were given head and neck articulations.
Is this the same movie monster series king Ghidorah currently/formerly up for preorder on BBTS? It looks similar but they claim the figure is 13 inches tall, but the one in the video seems to be of average movie monster series size, so which is correct? Thanks for your time.
This figure isn't bad. The upside is this is good for those who never picked up the 1998 Godzilla Island Series release or its eventual first iteration of Movie Monster Series from like 2001-2003 (Which is the one I have currently on hand.). Personally I skipped this release since the color scheme of this and the 2001 version are almost identical even if their different molds.

@@onionking6486 their 8" scale ones have a neck swivel. It looks to only be the 6" figures that don't have any. I just think it's weird.
