Oh my heavens. What a story. I’d wondered why we hadn’t see Sara on Broadway in so long. Sara, I’m SO GLAD you are HERE and getting to be so present and full of joy in this show. Paul, this is one of your best interviews, you handled with so much love and care. Wow.
Great Interview Paul. Addiction can be made salacious and tabloid like - you held the space for Sara to tell her story - and as someone else who is in active recovery, I am so glad shes still here sharing her talents with all of us and is happy and healthy
You are extraordinary Sara. Hearing your journey has not only touched and inspired me but will help so many others going through similar struggles. Words cannot express how much I admire your resilience, strength and willingness to share this tough experience. You have made a difference in the lives of many today- myself included. Keep shining and remember how strong you are. Much love to you ❤
Incredible interview. So glad Sara is back, healthy and thriving.
I had no idea why we hadn’t seen Sara on Broadway for so long. Thank you to Paul and Sara for sharing this story. I hope many people see this and are encouraged and helped. In ❤ with Sara now.
God bless her. So happy that she is healthier. It's scary that drugs that are used to help also do such harm. Praying for her and everyone else who faces addiction.
What a clear eyed and well done piece of theatre journalism. Thank you for this. Sara is wonderful in W4E❤
agreed. well said. and this is rare, sadly. whenever there have been negative stories about broadway folk, the broadway websites have tended to stay away sadly. and they shouldn't. they know the world of broadway. they shouldn't be afraid of that story.
After watching this interview I plan on seeing Water For Elephants.
This interview is life changing.
It really is. Thank you, Sara! ❤️
I want to know what drug it was. This is an incredible story. I am so happy she is here to tell it. Bravo! Keep on keeping on.
That was a lovely, articulate, warm interview filled with grace and gravitas. We had the pleasure of seeing Water For Elephants last week, and I didn't know Sara's backstory until now. The show is spectacular and she is wonderful in the role. I felt a sense of safety whenever her character was on stage. After hearing her story, it made it all the more special that she did the Red Bucket speech for Broadway Cares after the curtain call the night we saw it. Such an inspiring story, and so brave and thankless of her to share it with the world!
This entire interview is absolutely stunning. Sara is a goddess of the stage, and even more so for sharing this
Love you and do bet proud of you dear Sara! ❤❤❤
This is one of the best interviews I have seen! And personally very meaningful and helpful to me.
Thank you Sara and Paul. Very much.
Thank you both for the incredibly open, vulnerable interview - she's a real life superhero.
to anyone struggling out there . they're is always hope
Wow! So happy for Sara! She is an amazing talent. I hope the show is a huge success. She deserves it!
Sara you are a Warrior♡
everyone should see this.....
Sara I applaud you. I'm glad you are healthy and in a good place.
So proud to hear her tell her story. This is important. It is also eye opening to see that people in a union are not being drug tested and this is allowed to happen, just like in Hollywood. How? Every other union I know does drug tests and random tests often. What am I missing here? Seems like the union is not doing enough to protect people and the business itself. These are the kinds of things that make me not want to support this type of industry.
Strong and brave. just amazing!
Paul you are the best♡
Love the vacuum cleaner story (told with humility and humor...) The hidden skills actors have at their disposal...lol!
Beautiful
today that one thing is sewing. deconstructing (b/c i don't have money to buy material) and making something new. that's my one thing today.
