- One of the fastest growing sight categories is the Red Dot Optic. Glock has designed the MOS - Modular Optic System - to make mounting all the most popular sights as easy as possible.
Lenny takes you through the system, shows you how to install a sight, and gives you some helpful hints along the way. - Jak na to + styl
I can totally hear this guy saying “ Daisy to the main stage, Daisy to the main stage!”
Completely underrated comment. 👍🏻
Hell yeah
Hahaha,yep
“All right guys, give it up for Raven Storm!”
Who is Daisy?
I could listen to this guy all day. He's got a great speaking voice!
Jon Hammett He wants to sell you a sham-wow
Thanks for taking the time to make this. Very informative and helpful in deciding how to move forward on my first red dot hand gun. If you ever decide to put California in your rear view mirror please set your course for Florida.
If your gonna buy a mos or have a mos but watching videos before mounting your optics, read this first!
Put your optic on the plate first, screw the two little screws and check if they are sitting flush or if they are coming out the bottom.
If they are coming out of the bottom of the plate you need to trim them, otherwise it will not sit properly
You happen to know if the gen 4 and gen 5 RMR mounting plates are the same?
man your bids are getting really good, so appreciate how honest you are , thanks
I sense extreme positivity on you good Sir. more power to you and your team/family.
I like the option of various adapter plates in case one chooses to go to a different optic as products change and improve.
I have a G40 MOS. Put a (used, for $30.00) Docter RMR on it, it took a little while to adjust it correctly. I also installed a Ghost trigger bar and polished the innards a bit; this improved the trigger greatly, and cost 17 bucks for the trigger bar. Now, with some practice behind me, I can put 5 in the 10 ring at 20 yards. I put 3/5 into a 4 inch fence post at 60 yards yesterday evening. Me like!
When I want no non sense legitimate Information this is the channel. Thank you
LENNY YOUR THE BEST TEACHER WHEN IT COMES TO GLOCKS, ALL HANDS DOWN. I WATCHED ALL YOUR VIDEOS AND I FEEL LIKE IM IN COLLEGE LISTENING TO THE PROFESSOR. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME & THE KNOWLEDGE YOU GAVE ME. BEFORE WATCHING YOU I WAS COMPLETELY GLOCK-ILLITERATE. I THINK I HAVE SOME DEGREES NOW. GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!!!!
Troy Stayflyer ..Why are you YELLING!!!??
Troy Stayflyer quit kissing his ugly ass nigga look like a gargoyle
I bought the 34 mos 6 months ago. there are other optics like vortex that copies mounting patterns of other optics. for those that didn't know.
@Josh Shaw is correct. I had my G-19 specially built before the MOS came out, if you do not use that tiny thin little spring plate, the battery will not get proper ground, and the sight will become unreliable, on off, dim... gotta have it.
Great helpful video👌
OD Green Glock 23 G4 with Ameriglo Spartan Operator night sights.. Its my favorite firearm I own..
Hands down my favorite CZcams channel because my first gun is going to be a Glock
Torx wrenches are very common, you can buy good sets in any decent hardware store. My 1990 Chevy Blazer had T-40 Torx screws holding the removable top on.
Want a cookie?
When screws have thread locker, you an take a soldering iron to them before loosening to break the thread locker's cohesion. When you're dealing with tiny screws, or those in aluminum, especially fine threads, it's best to do this because you don't want to rip the threads out breaking it with force.
You only need heat if you're using red coloured thread lock. The blue stuff doesn't require heat.
McGill is a smooth talker, hard to stop watching his videos, almost hypnotic...😆
ikr? i have no interest in glocks really or this mos setup but i ended up watching the whole thing lmao
That was gay.
Casey Melick you looking a bum?
Great video thank you very much.
Beautiful gun
"Shield RMS" allows co-witness with standard-ironsights ... perfect solution, I use it on my G34 MOS.
marioheigl I'm thinking about getting the Shield RMS, I love how clear the window is on it. Will I still be able to use suppressor sights with it? I know it can mount low enough so you don't need them, but with a threaded barrel and suppressor for my 41 MOS, I need the suppressor sights on there.
Sorry for the dumb question, but does a Gen5 MOS slide fit on a Gen3 frame? I am interested on putting a red dot on my Glock, but I live in CA and can’t get a full Gen5 and do want to keep the firearm OEM.
I have a Glock 23 with rmr cut slide. I bought a NC star flip red dot sight. What mount should I buy? I bought a universal mount. Hopefully it’ll work but help guys.
Does it flicker? No sealing plate? 4 extra screws to mount?
Hi, what is the screw type to fasten the sight onto the mos adapter?
So mill a modular set up on the slide like glock did and make the plates for all the different dot sites?
what brands of red dot can i put on my glock 17 gen 4 with the adapter set 01 ?
Thanks for telling us about torque driver and how to use it.
Brady Upchurch ..hehe
got a custom slide for a gen 2 g21? would love to put a rds on my g21. that weapon and i have been through too much, not willing to replace it, customize it sure, replace it no way in hell.
I was listening how he was talking about torx screws and that wrench. I though he was also going to tell us about limewire and downloadable mp3's.
Torx are available in every hardware store........very common tools.
right?
I think he’s the only tool in this video.
I have a 41 mos,, nice shooter.
Great info
I tried to make my own MOS with my 34. Didn't come out quite how I would have liked. Can I buy a replacement slide ... in CA.
Do you make an MOS Slide that will fit a Gen 3?
Does any of the plates that come with mos work with vortex venom
Did he use the screws from the original cover plate, or did he use the extra screws that came in the package with the plates??
Can I just purchase just that mos slide only and put it onto my glock 19x gen5?
Can two glock 17s swap their slides? Like if one 17s slide had the mos. Could it go on the other gun?
I have a G23, Gen 4 and want to put a Vortex Venom on it. How do I get that done.
so , why not get adaptor kits and when customer asks for cut. cut to accept adaptor plates, there by giving customers options and still being able to provide services
“aNd tHE mEp-tA....... Whatever yeah, however you pronounce that...” - Lenny Magill 😂😂😂
are you burning the slide with an edm? or do you cut it out on a mill?
I have read about the glock mos sights coming lose. Is this a problem or did they mouth it incorrectly ?
Do you have any gspc slide for a G27 gen 4?
Does any of them fit the vortex red dot?
To get my G23 G4 slide milled for a 502C, you guys do LEO discount?
can I send you my slide and optic to have this done, and how much is it to do this work?
So you have to have a plate to fit a site on it. I know Holosun makes a SCS MOS that fits directly to the MOS without a plate.
What number Glock plate would be used for the hollison 507k
I have a g19 gen5 mos. Thought about putting a red dot optic but changed my mind. Just wanna use the night sights but the cut is further back than normal glock. Bought a pair of trijicon hd xr and the rear sight hangs off the gun a bit. Wat sights can i get that dont hang off?
What's my options if I have the Glock 19 gen3?
I have a gen 5 glock 19 mos and I just recently bought the Trijicon HD's and I noticed the rear sights over lap the back of the slide.... does that effect anything?
No. It's only cosmetic. Very common on MOS guns.
After seeing the guy in this video, the first name to pop into my head was actor J.K. Simmons. This guy looks like J.K. Simmons with much more hair. ^_^
These available for the glock 19 gen 5
Hows it going magill's I have a question .. were can i purchase the plate cover for the top slide?? Incase I want to remove my adapter plate
Where can I find those screws?
Can I just buy the slide for my g19 gen3?
Where do you get the 4 hole rmr plate
What’s the difference between RMR and DOC ??
I saw you at the gun show!!!!!!!!!!!
When you take the plate off like that, put a piece of scotch tape over the screws while in the plate. No lost screws.
You my friend are a genius in simplicity (which is the best genius)!
I want to remove my site and I need a cover for my Glock 19 do you guys sale that
Why are some sites listed as non-MOS only?
Cool I like it.
Anyone have an idea where I could find a g19 gen 5 mos ?
I’ve had some difficulty locating one. I will travel if need be.
Ask your local gun stores around your area. It's not hard to find.
In Europe Torx screws are really common, especialy in central Europe, we don't use Phillips and the others that much nowadays
Martin Schrammel They're not uncommon here... Not sure why he acted as if he'd never seen one before. Maybe a California issue.
Can one now buy a MOS Glock in CA? One couldn't a few years ago ...
Any Gen3 mos slides?
I carry a Glock 18 with a 30 round clipizine, in CA. I would like this modification.
R u Leo?
FunnyMau5 Nope, not a cop. Just seeing who's paying attention.
+David Spin haha I know where you got clipizine
I'm still trying to find my bullet button on my AR15 to make it fully automatic.
just get a fbs gen 3 trigger 699$ basically automatic
Do you have to have the plates ?
Nice, I’d purchase a g19 with the mos ready. Don’t gotta pay another company to cut and punch holes in the slide
Does a holoson 507c need a plate?
Torx fasteners are superior to any other style. Almost impossible to strip out.
Agreed. Force distribution and the power of the arch applied with multiplicity cannot be denied.
What's the point of having the iron sights stay on when you can't cowitness
do u do the GLOCK19??
Hey old school, reddots are the future and they are on when shooting. I tried one, and I now only look to the future. my glock 19 can take a red dot..
Overkill
the 17 mos is next in line...
Question one !
Austrian Glock is better than the one made in the USA?
How come when you mil the slide you don’t leave material for the recoil lugs ???? It’s a CNC machine…
functionally torx and phillips are opposites. Phillips guarantees cam-out if excessive force (torque) is applied to the fastener (screw). Torx guarantees that the driver will NOT disengage from the screw head under high torque. This places more responsibility on the user to tighten the fastener to a target torque, whereas phillips are essentially idiot-proof.
Loctite needed?
Torx is out for more than 20 years. Really common all over the world.
Hi I'm over the pond in the UK. Manchester to b precise. I'm after a glock 19 gen 4 spring . It's difficult contacting to a sight in the USA from here. Any advice please. No I don't have a WEPON in the UK. My glock is in Asia so I hope that clears the security bit up. Chears
Is Asia a town in the UK?
@@traymuse3810 is that advice?? Take that KKK CAPE of your head you might read the commint (that's if you can read) and understand what is there mupitt.
I think you need the Trijicon RMR® Mounting Kit for Glock MOS (Trijicon: AC32064) as the screws that come with RMR will not fit properly.
100% correct.
RMR GLOCK MOS MOUNTING KIT
FITS GLOCK MOS SLIDES UPC: 719307613003 MFG MDL #: AC32064
It’s slows me down, takes me forever to find the dot.
Why the hell are you still in California?
It might sink into the Pacific, but I doubt it will float away lol.
It's like the Eagles song, Hotel California...
"You can check in, but you can never leave".
351WINCHESTER
LOL
Because the 2A fight is here in COMMIEFORNIA and if we don't stop them here it will spread like cancer. You may live in a free state now but keep a close eye on your politicians, they are sneaky...
The screws should be torqued to the value stated by the manufacturer.
Don't guess at it,
....and now I'm hearing the 'green dot' laser's are more effective than the red's.....seems like any upgrade is obsolete in blink of an eye!
The green lasers are brighter than the red lasers, which means you can see them in bright daylight, the batteries don't last as long in the green lasers, however it's worth it to be able to see the green laser on your target.
why doesn't Glock sell the MOS slide separately. you can buy slides from ZEV and others but they cost more than a new gun.
You can get your slide cut for way less than anything with Zev on it.
Try One Source Tactical
Michael Yeager so FN true they cornered the damn market
Meopta..."me-opt-ah
I was thinking he was trying to say meprolite at first
I have dealt with the Glock Store on 6 orders. 4 were so messed up it took weeks or even months in one case to get parts they said they had in stock. I was put on hold twice just to be hung up on after a long wait then all lines were busy when I called them back. I think Lenny is a great guy but his customer service and shipping department need to be replaced!
Birdman Wood Designs did you buy anything?
Steve Oothoudt this guy is an infomercial, sorry but I would never buy anything from him. Him being in Cali is enough for me not to do business with him and sometimes he gives bad info
Steve Oothoudt yea true and I dealt directly with Lenny and it took two fukin months and he's a dick
might sell my glock 48 mos..glock dosent support it with mos plates like the g19..should have got sig
Did Lenny retire ?
Why get any other glock other than MOS? Glocks are known for three things, reliability, durability and customization.
+Morrius07 Be weary of someone running a RDS on a pistol. Very high probability they're a mall ninja.
Kyle Hammer The best kind of Ninja! lol
Ask me how I know you're stupid.
Or they could have an eye issue that won't allow them to focus on the front sight correctly. They could even be cross dominant and a optic makes shooting with both eyes open much simpler.
no holosun? 😳
How do you get these in California? I thought they were banned
You can exchange currency for goods and services.
+Jordan Garcia lol
Brandon Brabaw i own a gen 4 glock in CA. i purchased when single shot exempt. was still in option. You can buy one from LEO.i can only hope to buy just the M.O.S slide now. Seen one on ebay go for $400+
i might of not understood your question, idk how he gets his gen 4 glocks.
never seen Torx bolts outside of German cars. guess it makes sense though considering Glock is Austrian.
Great Video Lenny! After 3 months of testing, I finally posted my full review of the
