yk how common that type of story is? its literally standard procedure to investigate spouses in deaths where the person who passed had a lot of money. That shows just how common it is. Add on the fact that the whale literally freaked out about X listing himself as not married and got upset about her not being included in his will, just shows how close he probably came to being murdered for his money.

@@Tarik. lonely and rich is objectively worse than being broke and surrounded by genuine relationships. wealth/comfort/feeling good in general is only novel and gives happiness to a point, after which you become desperate to share it with someone. a nice penthouse apartment is cool for a few weeks until you keep waking up alone in it. youd be surprised how many rich people are only superficially happy, even consciously.

Hell, even the real friends will still probably have that thought that they better be extra nice to you so they can reap some benefit as well.
