With chains on the back mine has no problem at all. Have chains for the front too. Haven't used them in two years yet.

You are a great driver and instructor. Your average or inexperienced driver could learn a lot just by watching this video. Today I had to drive my Rwd CTS Coupe during Central Pa's mini blizzard this morning. Your truck did a lot better than my 275/35/20's. I had to traverse unplowed streets that included one section that is a down hill turning to the left immediately followed by a steep hill to the right. You know the trick... Slow down enough stay out of the ditch at the bottom but get back up to speed to have enough momentum to not get stuck on the hill. Good Times were had. 😁

Invest in chains, or studded tires, sand bags, or weight over the axels, and keep it in the right gear controlling speed, you won't have any problems!!...I've driven in the Sierras and never once got stuck!!..Dulleys make chaining up easy, and great for getting unstuck if it happens!!...Have fun!!

I drive npr they are snow mobiles. Just keep it in drive and let it lug. They make peak torque at 1800 rpm. Low gears get rpms up thats only time they really break lose. You want to keep turbo from spooling in snow with them. A lot of people use them for snow plows. Cool video

The warm up idle knob in the cab rotates CW to increase your idle speed. It does not pull out!!
    I have a 01 NPR-HD

I just put my NQR in the ditch this morning.😢 I lost traction while going up a steep hill, where several vehicles were spinning tires and making the snow slick Ice. I felt like a hero when i had almost backed all the way down the hill, but unfortunately I could not keep the front brakes from locking up (It is really easy to do, going backwards on ice) and i slow motion set her in the ditch. Lesson learned, I should have turned around and went back home.

Good to see you getting use out of the old box truck . Didn’t seem to bad in the snow and like you said two wheel drive duallys usually don’t do well in the snow unless you load em down. Good video! Keeps your nice vehicles nice lol!

mine has a 5 speed manual trans and 131hp from a 4 cyl turbodiesel engine

These trucks are one problem right after another the only good thing about them is the cab tips up and it's easy to work on the engine compartment
