Welcome to the Yu-Gi-Oh Character Roulette Duel Monsters Finale! Each week @MBTYuGiOh and I will spin a wheel to build a deck from packs featuring cards used by anime characters throughout Yu-Gi-Oh's history, and then we’ll craft 1 card of each rarity from our pack to round out our decks. After a character’s pack wins the match it’s removed from the wheel, while the losing pack is given a second chance at victory! Tune in every weekend for new episodes of Character Roulette!

If doug was a real youtuber, he would do a doug reacts to yugioh series. Then he would do doug reacts to yugioh abridged. This, of course, would be uploaded on Doug Twoug, his second channel.
Then he could make Doug Throug, his third channel which would be Doug Twoug Reacts to fall asleep too.

The best part of this show is Dzeff's chat constantly gaslighting him. Is almost like them want him to lose.

Both players wear shock collars. Rule. Shocks every 1000 dmg. Duelist 1 plays Scummy stun. Loses Die roll to Player. Turn 1. Duelist 2 activates, Trickstar Candina.
MBT did some anime bullshit on that final game
Lord of the Red was realy just one of the Goofiest cards in the OG YGO anime.(IT came out in the waking the Dragons arc and you literaly had Joey use a Anime only trap as a Tribute for it and he gained a Red Eyes Armor). And he and his Opponent kinda Punched each other a lot until one went down. Yea that arc was Filler.
It was filler but it gave us some iconic cards and moments. IDGAF how bad they would be, give me my fucking Armor cards Konami.
i really enjoy at the end of the videos when Doug reviews key moments of his duels. It really puts into perspective what he could have done different and if it mattered. It's a good skill to have for Yugioh players too so it's nice to see it being done rather then move on and just blame the cards!
We need to keep a list of things Crush Cards seem to enjoy.
I recall ducks, and this episode demonstrated Grand Admiral Thrawn and Kpop.

You could also do like Supreme King with Evil heroes
I would like to add Supreme King Jaden as a seperate character for the Evil HERO pack.
I think Jaden in particular might be a challange since all his iconic cards are divided into different packs. Maybe we can just do a E-Hero Jaden and a Neo-Spacian Jaden seprately as well?

Joey dying of natural causes whilst in a winning position in a game is such a yugioh anime move
Doug says he hasnt watched the anime but they're playing just like in the anime. The card is on board face up but we're still surprised when the holding arms doesn't die.
This is just banter. Not reading is a mandatory effect for all yugioh players.

Of course we all knew from the moment the wheel was shown that Red-Eyes was going to be the only deck to not take a win. That's why it's Wheeler's deck. Doug was just unfortunate enough to be his avatar, but it could have been either of them. Good games! Good series! Can't wait to see what y'all do next. :)

Even tho i didnt know wtf was going on most of the time i really enjoyed this series. The character voices were top notch and the battles fun to watch, thanks for the entertainment. I havent watched the anime in damn near 20 years so its nice to see some throwbacks
To be fair to the Show's outcome:
A. Joey wasn't even supposed to be a competitor in the competition. A rare hunter hacked the system to admit Joey so he could steal Red-Eyes (Which I don't know why he would want as even back then it was a bad card).
B. Odion had lethal on Joey and should have won, but Marik ordered him to summon a counterfeit Ra, causing shenanagons.
Joey was lucky to get as far as he did.
Because in verse it's a rare card and Red-Eyes symbolizes potential.
Potential that it'll never meet.
Tbf the tournament was hosted by Kaiba- which kinda explains why Joey wasn't invited initially (considering he WAS one of the finalists of Duel Kingdom), and is a pretty well-known joke in the re-hash tournament. "Anyone late to register will be disqualified. Mokuba, make sure Wheeler is late."

As a person who just won a speed duel giant card at ycs indi with the slimey Disposition skill/deck, that first game warmed my slimey heart.
Next wheel is gonna be a big one, GX was the first real implementation of archetypes and every character had their own.

Ngl, Winged Dragon of Ra's theme mummering in the background as MBT did the chant still gave me goosebumps. Even if the entire series has been fun and goofy.

@Golladan Probably not, but the thing is: *It wasn't anything.* It only appears in the intro and is never summoned. We do not know its stats, effect, level, name, etc. (We only assume "Fire Dragon" due to appearing next to "Water Dragon.")
I personally find the "What was that Fire Dragon?" subject really annoying because there's NOTHING to it. "Fire Dragon" just does not exist. So I say screw it, a monster with no anime appearance but a physical printing, and a monster that has only its underdeveloped appearance to go off of, and are both serpentine fire dragons are the same card.
You should check out the german VA for Yami Marik. An absolute chad and sounds actually intimidating

So, another Wheel series that might work is something like "Era Brawl"
You spin the wheel for each person for a specific "Era" of Yugioh and then an architype from that era (with all their future support) and then track the wins of individual "Eras" in addition to Dough's and MBT's wins.

I know we probably are gonna get GX, 5Ds and Zexal next, but I really can’t wait for the Arc-V one. It has easily my favourite anime themes and decks
Im gonna be honest. Seeing Doug unable to play Red-Eyes, arguably one of the simplest decks in yugioh, without misplaying is so funny.
Tbf as someone who was in stream for these duels. He played to the best he could and atleast he doesnt roast the cards when he lost with them like MBT did. When mbt used the he constantly misplayed and had the games if he played it well but then he blames the cards for him losing
Like there was genuinely only 2 times doug could of played the line different and for the most part they didnt matter. The only throw this time was messing up math on the sword

I kinda want to see them play this same matchup, but it's constructed, not sealed, using only cards from the pack (so no adding in good staples from outside the pack).

This was the most anime episode ever. The ending of the match was just like the ending of the anime match. Joey has victory right there but he fails to get it by pure circumstance.

The problem with the Red-Eyes archetype is that it really doesn’t know what it wants to be at the end of the day.
Some cards do burn, some yoink your stuff (can’t quite remember what one does that but I know it’s there) and some so utterly random things.
If Red-Eyes had a more coherent direction in what it was trying to do I’d think it would be better than what it is now.
Game review is a good add, gives good closure unlike the abrupt endings before.
It's funny that all of MBT's impressions are the abridged versions.

Get a shock collar with settings, so everytime you take damage, you can adjust the shock based on the damage.
So if you get hit for 200 and getting hit for 1000 feels different

It's unfortunate we didn't get Ra's attack finisher animation, but that back and forth at the end of Game 2 was quite good.
I think it was a nice episode to end on. It's just unfortunate that some characters were overlooked that could have made it on the wheel.
Can't wait to see what the next idea to come out of the mind of Doug Zeeff is.
I really like the game review at the end. I hope you keep it. No pressure though, it was really fun and informative to watch for me.
