21:35 in greek mythology echidna was actually a half human half snake creature. I suppose thats the reason for the name. Also echidna is not just the name of the spikey mammal. In addition there is also a genus of moray eels which are called echidna. Those are much more snake-like

@@boozeman4749 Along with Typhon, they are basically the "Forbearers" of most of the more iconic/powerful, of the Greek Mythology's/Grecian Myths' (Not Curse Created) Monsters...
It's possible too that the Echidna was meant to be named something like Echinos which is great for hedgehog or sea urchin, but it got merged into the name of the monster.
Echidna btw basically means "she-viper".

There have been multiple animals that have been given the name "Echidna", but due to the rules of scientific naming... what most people know as an Echidna, actually is scientifically not an Echidna, because someone else already had named a different animal Echidna beforehand.
I dont think there was any universe where Farfa won this. Doug had the god pulls (and honestly even the N/R cards in the Dino pack are cracked), and for some reason the new-ish Reptilliane support is just not in the pack at all. His only chance at winning was summoning a 4000 ATK Vennominaga.

The animal species echidna (the thing Knuckles is) is a monotreme: A mammal that lays eggs (insert Perry the Platypus theme).
The animal really confused the scientists of the day, so they called it Echidna to represent its combined mammalian and non mammalian (reptilian, for example) trait.
So, it's only a kind of stupid name for the animal, as opposed to entirely stupid.
Also, echidnas (the animal) have a 4 headed male sex organ. One is obligated to include this fact when explaining echidnas.

mans in the comments complaining about swapping out a monster in venom vs fricken dinos with 3 misc and a uct. The real unfun was watching the curbstomp we knew the best of two was going to be.
The anti-synergy between the Reptilianne game plan and Venom Swamp is so funny, not only does Venom Swamp affect your own Reptiliannes (although to be fair a lot of them have 0 ATK so at least they're immune) but a) Reptilianne cards drop opponent's monsters to 0 ATK, making them immune to the swamp, and b) Venom Swamp doesn't even provide setup for Reptilianne plays by dropping enemy stats, because once they hit 0 ATK, the number that Reptiliannes want monsters on the field to be for their effects, it pops them. No matter in what order they try to work together, they're just so incompatible.
Echidna is the ultimate snake Waifu.
I have genuinely gotten a win with Vennominaga's effect against one (1) human in Master Duel in a festival.

Also, it straight up wouldn't work against selftk. You need to deal battle damage 3 times with a monster that attacks once per turn.
Mind you, the player was terrible. They Dark Holed Vennominon after Imperming it when they had a monster available, and kept summoning things in attack for a few turns when I kept setting or summoning fodder like Alien Stealthbuster.
I think they also Raigekied when only Vennominaga was on field.

Echidna is named that because there is the animal echidna which is what knuckles is but there is also the mythology echidna which is a snake lady.

Finally, someone went into the dino pack and got to see just how damn good it is. One of my favorite packs in Master Duel.

I think a possible rule change for the royal rares is they can not be used the next week but can be saved up as an 1-1 swap for a key card from the pack, or archetype.

I approve of the secret packs this week. If Doug's pulls were bad, at least Reptillianne/Venom vs Jurrac might've been a fair matchup. But Doug pulled the good Dinos, so Farfa never stood a chance.

Poor Farfa just wanted to summon the funny snake deity but couldn't draw it. The fact that it takes so much to summon Venominaga and the Kaiju can just tribute it away easily just shows how annoying kaijus can be.
