I'll admit it. I also thought that Blazing Inpachi looked like he was playing Basket Ball as a kid. It also didn't seem that far fetched to me either since Battle Footballer and Ultimate Baseball Kid (Other early monsters based off sports) where also Fire attribute. So I just assumed that Yu-Gi-Oh just made a Sports = Fire motif in some of its cards.

The first time I saw this card was when Duel Links released. I didn't read the flavor text so I thought it was like an anthropomorphic leopard playing basketball

Yeah summoning animations are only for really important cards like Traffic Ghost

Doug was talking about what would’ve happened had the God Cards been legal and MegaCapitalG actually did a video on that topic. He concluded that Obelisk would’ve been the best boss monster in the game while Slifer would’ve been the best control card in the game. Ra probably wouldn’t have seen play.
Hell if Slifers effects were printed on some archetypal boss monster that is easier to get out consistently, hed actually be playable even by modern yugioh standards, it would effectively blank your normal summon and make you special summon everything below 2k in defense, which is relatively strong

When did the restriction on playing Egyptian Gods get lifted
@@fortidogi8620 The god cards only released and came out in 2010-2011. By that point they were long powercrept and unplayable.
@@fortidogi8620 The "OG" God Cards with the coloured backs were never playable because they're just collectors versions; the three each got official playable versions w/ effect text printed later on, starting with Obelisk, then Slifer, then Ra (they got released one at a time iirc).

The inpachi number on its chest its a mark for when he was a tree to be cut down. He gained sentience when all other trees around him got chopped off. OR when he gained sentience he actually got a pro basketball contract

I also like lower power formats, but Im talking more about the pre-XYZs era yugioh formats like Edison, and certain ones that are in the XYZ Pendulum era

Blazing inpachi is the second part in the inpachi story it was a wood cutting/ processing machine but one day it catches on fire and moves to a clearing and the fire burns out and becomes charcoal inpachi

it's got numbers cause it was a tree that was cut down and before trees are cut they are often marked sometimes with numbers sometimes with other indicators

Obelisks summon is effectively a spell speed 4 nothing can respond to its summon window. It’s the only god with on summon protection.
The number on Blazing Inpachi was curved by lumberjacks to mark the number of trees to be cut down. After it was cut down the tree got possessed by an evil spirit.

When you think about it, Mystical Moon is basically just a fire fist card...except without the good effect of a fire fist card.
My friends and I did this at locals and it was a blast!!! One of us sat on stumbling and we could just not beat them at any point, crazy card.

theres a gba yugioh game that i used to play a lot and i picked it up again recently for nostalgia and looked up good decks and NO ONE thought dark elf was good. i was actually blown away

@@DuskoftheTwilight Solemn judgement was written of as a bad card for quite some time. The same card that has been both banned and limited, and it still sees decent amount of competitive play, and it was released all the way back in metal raiders I believe

Well, she is legitimately bad if your opponent is just setting monsters (which they probably are as you have a 2K attacker on your side). She's a great card for beating over other beaters, but spending 1/8th your LP just to run over a defense position monster that your opponent has 20 more of or, worse, smack into a 2K defender is very not good.
@@Celestia282 thats not bad at all you just use her as a 2k defender and tribute her for summoned skull. shes objectively better than the 2k defenders that everyone used and a great way to win the 1900 beater arms race

Clown's effect is non-target, the one is bounce and the other is destroy. That is good effect, why Konami didn't make Clown deck because this theme looks interesting.
