  • Passive infrared (PIR) motion sensors can be used to trigger alarms, activate video cameras, or turn on lights when a person or animal enters an area. In this video we will learn how to connect and program PIR sensors with the Arduino.
This is tutorial #35 in the Ultimate Guide to the Arduino, a complete video course on the Arduino microcontroller with 45 lessons that are designed to teach anyone how to master the Arduino at any skill level. Visit our CZcams channel page to watch the entire series!

If this channel is still active, which PIR sensor do i need to build trip wire motion sensor lights? thanks so much!!!

I have made 6 or 7 of those. It was fun to watch this vid. Explained well. Thanks.

If the object stay in front of the sensor, how to make it stay light up and off when the person leave from the sensor range

good info about how it actually works, but why use an arduino for the example? ... you could have just wired it directly to the relay or led lol

That is a nice project, the code is very clean and I am thinking about the motor relays as there are many new inventors who build 4WD cars with the Arduino coding. I am working with AI too and the PIR is the contrast delay I use in the convolution layer to create motion detector in AI games ( I play at lowe cost by using AI Games but the device and technology is my interest ).
