You should check out her second channel (Sassy Mascha Vlogs). Most of her videos on there are indeed still relaxing and tingly even it’s not intended to be. But she does show a different side to her sometimes too, she can be quite bubbly!

@@hannahmitchell87 Depends on your eye color and very much so on the tone of the purple. If you have a cooler purple, icy colors complementary to the purple like blues or pinks would work well, maybe pastel shades, definitely avoid warmer tones. If it’s a warmer purple, you might be able to go for bright and bold shades especially if you have jewel toned eyes, but you should avoid those brighter colors if it’s a dark purple closer to something like plum or eggplant rather than an amethyst or lilac.

I really hope Maria sees this... I started listening my senior year of high school, in 2012 - about a year after I lost my mom to brain cancer. My mom had a trachiotomy for most of my childhood, and so when I heard the whispers it really reminded me of how she spoke to me and comforted me and helped me heal ❤️ I'm 25 now and have been subscribed for over 8 years! Thank you for all the good sleep, Maria 💕

Kayla my love, how beautiful. Maria reminds me of my favourite grandma, who was more like my mum growing up. Long gone but still miss her. This reminds me to bond more in this loving, soothing way with my own daughter, as even now, in my 40’s, when ill, this soothes me bringing back memories of my gran caring for me when sick. Thank you for sharing. You’re beautiful. Your mum lives in, like my gran is a touching way forever. Xx

The fact that Maria always includes so many extra sounds that are created organically that you don’t necessarily consciously realise like the crinkly coat, her rubbing her hands as she introduces herself or her earrings in other videos etc while doing other activities like writing on paper with pen sounds etc - it creates layered ASMR without making it obvious. All of this always makes me sure that ASMR is an art and Maria is truly one of the masters!

It hasn’t quite dawned on me until now just how long Maria has been with me on my journey through life. Sometimes I feel like she is one of my very best friends. Almost 10 years now. She’s been with me all through college, having moved a few times, and when friends and family passed away. Times where I wasn’t sure about where I was going or what I wanted to be. While getting over a breakup, or realizing people I had been surrounding myself with weren’t doing me any good.I feel embarrassed admitting how many times she’s “seen” me cry, but without admitting it, I can’t say thank you. Maria you’ve been with me through the best of times and the worst of times. I cannot express how thankful I am. ❤️

My husband does sleep studies for a living so I love this and it's so funny cause about 5 years ago he was doing my sleep study and I couldn't fall asleep and I was thinking, what would help me fall asleep and I ended up looking for Whispering videos on CZcams having no clue what ASMR was and I found you Maria!!! Hi Maria, I’m a nurse working for the NHS in the UK. As you can imagine it’s a very difficult time in the hospital at the moment. When I get home I can find it difficult to relax and Wind down. I have never been able to get into things like meditation. However I have found some of your videos to be so helpful, they are great at helping me to get ready for sleep and forget about long days at work. Thanks so much you seem like such a nice person.

@@eleanorrose5711 Of course. They become necessary if a doctor suspects you have some sort of sleep issue and, at least here in America, they can only be ordered by a pulmonologist. My primary doctor didn't have the legal ability to order me a sleep study.
But yes, they most certainly are a real thing. In fact, sleep studies are the primary way that sleep apnea is diagnosed.

@@eleanorrose5711 My pleasure. I needed to do 2 of them, because the first showed I had sleep apnea, so the second was to figure out which type of mask I would need to have.
Both experiences were terrible and I refuse to do another one. Her video is a thousand times more pleasant than my actual experiences were.

But now I wake up in the middle of the night with my phone somewhere in my bed and my earphones somewhere next to it 😉 So I just put both on my night drawer and go back to sleep 😴 Turning my plane mode on would wake me up too much, I'm afraid 🙈

i got into asmr around the same time i developed narcolepsy, summer 2015. its such a difficult disorder, and contrary to popular belief, sleep doesnt always come easy. maria has been such a soothing presence for all these years -- there are stretches of time where im terrified of sleeping, and i resist falling asleep because of it, but her kindness and warmth always helps!! thank you so much masha 💚💚💚

When i was high school I had a sleep study done bc I was falling asleep in class. It was so uncomfortable . But I love the fact that Maria makes this soothing and it's been helping falling asleep furning rather rough times I've been having.
This is my go-to ASMR from Marie. Absolute explosive tingles every single time I watch it. I listen at home and I'm zonked out in less than five minutes. I listen at the office to calm me down (job drives me crazy) and I almost nod out in front of the computer. BUT! She relaxes me. This is just my go-to video and works every single time. Every single sound in the video, from the tiniest, is a tingle. And when she says " okay, looks pretty good", that's an absolute tingle whisper and a smile. She is amazing. And so real! What is she looking at and working on anyway? A doll? A wig mount? What???!!!!!!

I LOVE how you have evolved and your new videos (new = 2017 to the present day) are my favourites. I love your wisdom, creativity and kindness, I love your ability to try new things, your work ethic, your fierce softness.
I agree with you when people say they do not want an ‘old style’ but they want to go back to the person they were when they were watching those videos years ago. Humans are nostalgic creatures. But we are also always in motion. Always learning and moving forwards. I am so grateful you make ASMR. 💛
