- One thing about the diesel truck community is not only the love for everything diesel but love for one another! On a very hot June day they came together to support the memory of fellow diesel brother Jarrett Powell. Jarrett was a frequent diesel drag racer at Byron Dragway having competed just last October in his 2006 LBZ GMC Duramax truck appropriately named the "ORANGEBEAUT. Jarrrett was late son of Superior Automotive owner Marty Powell, who sponsored the event with all awards being presented bearing Jarrett's name. Friends and families set up an area to showcase Jarrett's truck along with commemorative tshirts. Friends congregated all day long, sharing stories and memories about the well loved young man.
The atmosphere was unlike anything I've witnessed before in either of the yearly spring or fall events hosted by the Playground of Power Byron Dragway. The crowd was mostly the younger generation with many families with young children and babies in strollers being pushed around the pits. It was a great day all around with the diesel trucks putting on quite the show.

6:27 For tribute of loved diesel brother who passed away 🙏
What happened?
3:58 the truck Ford 6.0 that WhistlinDiesel bought and destroyed, I didnt see that coming.
Whistling diesel 6.0 never could get the turbos to light even before he bought it 😂
ha that is WD's 6.0
I noticed that too
Yup lol 😂
Yea it is lol
Yea before he bought it 😂
Came to the comments to see who else noticed that lol.
all i think of is that the blessed preformance truck went to whistlen and how the turbo never wanted to light on that thing lol
Imagine running a 12 second pass and having you lift pump filters sagging to be seen 😂😂 im dying 😂😂
Lady I came across this video and you had me as soon as my Eye lids stuck wide open.
3:57 man that ford really smoked the other guy
so bad he flew away
Lmao. Too bad WhistlinDiesel bought it and destroyed it.
Ahhhh the old yank tanks come to play
Oh she has been had for sure
What event was this at?
Who’s is the denali in the thumbnail?
The sad truth about diesels is, if you remove the turbo it turns into a real POS.
Yeah when you combine a massive compression ratio with very low rpm’s to maximize torque that’s what you get. It can’t turn fast like a gasoline engine so it needs the extra oxygen to get it pumping per stroke. I thought that was common sense my dude.
ahhhhh costs 400e-r0t58935934059-09-09 dollars to fill one of these up today
First of all those trucks are not even remotely close to being fast.
What a absolute joke. Black smoke = loss of power. Cheap junk
Yes rolling coal is a loss of power BUT a lot of dudes throw fuel to it a lot earlier than needed until the turbo makes boost and evens the mixture out. Unless you have a purpose built drag rig this tends to be the issue. Their are a lot of dudes who really believe a lot of fuel = power and that’s just not the case. I will say it’s safer to run rich than lean.
