What i like about this version of the song is that unlike the OG one, which seems to be from the perspective of someone calling out the Grinch for his actions, this one is instead the perspective of the Grinch himself, telling himself how mean and disgusting he is, but embracing it rather than self hatred.
That's a genius way to rework the song! But i love both versions, all the same.

If you think about it, the Grinch was able to make a rocket propelled sleigh in what could be estimated as a few days at most and a few hours at least with just some scrap. That's quite impressive.

In a way, I think the Grinch stealing everybody’s Christmas stuff was a good thing. I mean it’s not right to steal and I am not encouraging people to steal because it is wrong.
What I mean is Christmas is hugely commercialized and so much money is spent on gifts every year and there’s all the lights and trees and decorations (I’m victim to it, too. I also decorate and bake and spend too much)
Christmas isn’t about how much stuff we can get or how much money we spend or what decorations go up and how much baking gets done, but those are the things a lot of us enjoy and get fixated on. I enjoy decorating and I will continue to do so every year, but I also know that I can do none of it and stool enjoy Christmas.
The Grinch stealing everybody’s stuff forced the Whos to rethink the whole holiday and realize that Christmas comes from within, not just from a store

Jim Carrey did his best when it came to this movie. But, the original will always be the best. The Grinch never needs to be remade. It's best when the story is short and sweet and not drawn out like the later versions are.
