Amber Heard is taking the stand against her ex-husband Johnny Depp as their $50 million (or more) libel trial continues.
The divorced movie stars' trial began April 11 in Fairfax County, Virginia, outside Washington, D.C., and is broadcasting live.
Depp, 58, is suing Heard, 36, for $50 million, alleging she defamed him in an opinion column she published in The Washington Post (which is printed in Fairfax County) in December 2018. In the column, she claimed to be a victim of domestic abuse.
While Heard didn't name Depp, his defense claims there are enough details to point to him as the subject.

Amber is really digging herself deep. She’s to over dramatic, she gets into a lot of detail about a situation that’s asked by her lawyer then seconds later when she’s asked another question about the situation she’ll say she “forgot”. When she says Johnny would “slap her multiple times” she said verbatim “I would look at him in the eyes” and not defend herself, but in the recordings we’ve heard she is no saint. She calls herself out and says “I did not punch you I was hitting you” she’s telling on herself basically. We’ve all heard the recordings.. we’ve heard her yell and get violent.. so why all of a sudden when she takes the stand she’s this innocent victim of domestic violence.. it’s really disturbing. I truly wholeheartedly feel that she was very manipulative and instigated a lot of arguments and was basically poking the bear (Johnny) to get a reaction out of him, then when he reacts to her disrespect then she would pull out the phone and record him.. EVERYTHING is Cause and Effect.. Justice for Johnny all the way!!

It is her lawyer who is asking her the questions and not Johnny's. During cross-examination, when it is Johnny's lawyers' turn, hopefully they will expose the lies if they ask the right questions and trip her up.
I believe they are not objecting because they want her to talk and talk and the more she talks the harder she will have remembering what she said so they can catch her in her lies.

This is why it kinda sucks that the jury can't do any outside research. If they rule in her favor and then later see the videos of her in the elevator and JDs penthouse all over Jane's Franco and Elon Musk, and listen to all of the other recordings and most of all watch her recorded deposition were she laughs, mocks, condescends and rolls her eyes the entire time they are going to feel very, very silly. Our justice system is strange.

1:57:20 she talks about JD grabbing her arm and holding her on the ground hitting her face multiple times. The thing is the picture she took has no marks on her face at all. JD always has huge rings on. Wouldn't you think there would be marks on her face from that?
Also that mark couldn’t have gotten there with a grab or at least I don’t think so because it doesn’t make sense. There would be marks on the outer sides of the arm from finger pressure, not in the middle of the arm

Right, that looks like a bruise I'd get by slamming into something. A bruise like that isnt one that has a lot of force, thats for sure. Even if in their fight, something caused it to happen, it certainly isnt one by grabbing or punching. When you grab someone like that, the bruise appears differently.

The courts don’t like emotional distress on the stand especially when there’s a jury present they are to remain neutral speaking of the witness and depends upon the level of abuse whether it be sexual physical emotional abuse as a retired social worker for 30 years listening to her testimony this far it’s all been lies and repeating and not speaking clearly to the question and reserving doubt to the jury it’s unfortunate that this had to go this far and how Amber had set Johnny up for failure but in the end I firmly believe Johnny will win.

So many projections in the comments.... We weren't there we don't actually know anything.... And speculating can be dangerous, given many of us have overlays and project and have triggers and subconscious memories and beliefs that play into our feelings of who is 'right' and 'wrong' ... So try to be open to both sides and if you find yourself very judgemental on either side, look inward and see how there is an inner aspect that is a mirror of what you're hating and work with that. It's amazing how those that do much of this self inner work, they look at stuff like this and don't have these strong reactions of 'theyre right and they're wrong!! How dare they this person is awful!' etc. There's no real triggering response, just openness and curiosity and neutrality on both sides. Even when all is said and done and an opinion is formed, it's not one where the emotions are personally deeply involved and also there is an openness to knowing that the opinion could be wrong, space is held to potentially be wrong, since they haven't seen the alleged actions with their own eyes. The people in the comments so convinced they're right and know the truth and then bashing these people they've never met....it's astounding to me. It has nothing to do with these actual people but rather qualities they think they're seeing that these people have rejected and disowned within themselves. Then it's taken out on another ...
