I didn't notice till later that it was on! This is just a quick ramble video to get me back into the asmr mood after a hectic couple weeks :)

I'm from the UK and I know a little about where the states are. So I'm listening to your story and then you say you went to Washington one day and NYC the next and I'm like wtf? They're on opposite sides of the country. Well, needless to say I found out today that Washington and Washington DC ARE NOT THE SAME PLACE. I feel so stupid lol. Great video btw

Ayyyyyyy i live in Baltimore. There is a lot of different parts to the city. China town, little italy, etc. Kinda like a mini New York. But the city has a huge homeless and drug problem. If you aren't used to a big city life, i would suggest staying either right near the inner harbor or in a surrounding county where poor people aren't around. I am so used to seeing homeless, drug addicts, prostitutes, etc that they have 0 effect on me at this point. But still it is a beautiful city.
I wish homeless people, drug addicts, and sex workers (prostitute is outdated and derogatory) weren't stigmatized and were instead given help because many of these people are in bad situations that are hard to get out off. Many middle class people depend on credit but when they lose their jobs, they can default on their mortgages and end up on the street. Many drug addicts are abusing these substances because of emotional trauma or simply a bad decision they made once. Many of the sex workers again are victims of abuse, emotional instability and often have no choice but to sell their bodies. I'm not saying that all "shady" people are stuck in their situations, but think about it: nobody wants to be homeless or in danger. Which begs the question, what is keeping them poor?
I put this to go to sleep and i end up staying awake imagining this story like a movie.

Next time you park your car somewhere you're not familiar with, you should drop a pin on google maps in your phone and save it as "parking"...that way you can find it later.

I went to DC for about a week, and we didn't even get to do everything we planned lol. We went during November so it was insanely cold. (I'm from the west coast and not used to anything below 80 degrees so maybe it was normal). We'd go to about 2 places a day, and at the end of that I was exhausted from walking everywhere, so I can't imagine doing it in a day. We got lost once because we were using the Washington Monument as a landmark but because it's so freaking huge you can see it from everywhere so you always think you're closer to where you started than you are. All this happening while we're walking all the way back from Arlington in the middle of the night, unable to find any open stores or businesses because every inch of land is a museum or monument.

This video is extremely helpful, and I'd like to thank you. I had been balling my eyes out because my sexual offender got bailed out of jail and was acting like the victim on facebook. I just started breaking down and searched for an asmr video and found this. It was so nice to here someone else's problems (weird as it sounds). This video calmed me down a lot. Also! props to you for doing all the sightseeing in one day. I visited and it took me a weekend to properly go through everything I wanted to see. lmao

Exploring NYC by one's self is awesome. I did it a few years ago. I took a wrong turn in Manhattan and had to drive through the Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel... ended up driving the whole way to Coney Island. I've lost my car more than once, but because I can't remember where I parked or what car I was driving. If somebody messed with you while you were alone, you could of channeled Vinny or Ivan.
