oh man what a beauty! I'd give it a few kisses before starting work on it every morning. Whats cool about the series one is how much smaller they were compared to the series 2 and up. they are like the mini copper of utilitarian vehicles. And yes, LOVE the signal and those pointy tail lights, so nice to look at.
@@Utopiatwentytwo I live in US, its hard to get rovers here and quite expensive, if I were in UK, man I would have a series 1 and Series 2a with series 3 gearbox or series 3 with series 2a dashboard! oh and also an austin mini ! Lovely lovely machines. Simple but yet makes you so content.
@@Utopiatwentytwo yes this is something I am open to but I’m the future. Working towards buying a home now. Once that is finished, will save up to get a series rover most definitely.
There are quite a few of the 655 series ones around however a series 2 4x2 only have 4 working ones left apparently! I nearly brought one not too long ago
@@GunnarMiller possibly the reason. I can give you a criptic to my email as that will get through. It's a live with the usual old couk suffix... I'll give the prefix in another comment...
Great video and an incredible little find. Ive just managed to get hold of a series 1 4x2 earlier this year. The chassis on mine had been galvanised and also the bulkhead from new, i just wondered of the ones on yours have too?
Amazing! We will have to try and get them together! Unfortunately this one doesn't have a galv bulkhead or chassis but might in the future 👀 it will be for sale as it is or commission to be fully restored
