As an RN or MD you always remove your mask in between patients. You also never ever go an entire 12 hour shift x 5 days/week, then go grocery shopping and be expected to continue wearing a mask. Exercising while wearing a mask has never ever been common practice. You didn’t grow up wearing a mask the entire day in school. So please, respectfully, do not normalize the excessive use of masks that is taking place now.
We medical staff have to use the same masks over and over and over, yes- for 12 hours per day. And if we go shopping after, we wear that same mask for as long as we need to. We are in the middle of a mass pandemic, circumstances now are hardly normal.
