I remember seeing the beginning of this build in a magazine YEARS ago. Then I seen videos of the start up but it wasn't on wheels yet. Finally get to see it rolling but it definitely looked betrer in a magazine than on video.

It all comes down to gearing and your traction level gearing something down will just multiply your torque by a shit ton Mitsubishi Mirage G4 is a prime example of that that car first gear makes more than half its weight in torque The car only has 74 pound feet of torque coming off the engine horsepower is basically the same number but torque is what moves a vehicle transmission multiplies it plus the final drive ratio from the differential that is inside the transaxle
You could have the worlds most powerful engine all the torque in the world but if you’re geared wrong you’re fucked

I only counted 9 superchargers. I was only counting because I was trying to calculate how much more that motor cost than my entire house AND the house isn’t much bigger either! (Than the whole truck, not just the motor.)
I heard that the engine themselves need superchargers to get air into themselves from the factory, so each supercharger got supercharged by 3 superchargers, i guess..
@@MrSh31by the naturally aspirated Detroit diesels have an integral supercharger. since they're 2 stroke no intake valve needs slight positive pressure to run normally........ even the turbocharged models retained the supercharger just added turbo and intercooler or just a turbo.

A lot of talent and impressive overall however, you can see from the road driving that the chassis is much too weak. The whole length of it bounces like a leaf spring. How much highspeed driving has it done? I wonder if it resonates terribly (bouncing up and down) at certain highway speeds.

No the superchargers are just for show No internals I saw the building video somewhere and the supercharger housing is all amde of wood and painted to look like metal.
@@fixitnige No you didn't. It's a 2 stroke, without blowers it wouldn't run you idiot. I saw the truck in AZ. it's a fully functioning vehicle. The wood you saw was the mock up, you can see the raw aluminum grade printing saying 6061, before it was finish machined and polished.
Yes the superchargers are functional. All two stroke Detroits have a pressurized block. Without the blower setup,it wouldn't run because they don't have an intake valve in the cylinder heads.

All for show. The 24V-71 is non turbocharged. When it was turbocharged it put out 1,800hp. Now with no turbocharging, you'd be luck if it put out 1,200hp.
This puts out 3450 hp at the crank.
@@Ole_CornPop Fake news. Under all those fake blowers is a non turbocharged 24V-71. If you take a 6-71 non turbo maximum at 265hp and multiply by 4 you get 1,060hp-that's all.
