@@BlitzkriegStaffords I'm 54 and been in the game for a very long time. By that being said, I have seen some the cheapest car audio builds sound good at it's best. Meaning, any system will sound good as long as you respect your equipment and what is it's limitations.
They can get loud for what they are worth. Us car audio guy's should word things a lot better than what we do. Cause some of us gives out the wrong interpretation.
i got a og silver framed 10w7 and a 10" NVX.. and honestly.. i think they give very comparable performance. Kind of gross considering the cost difference. I think the JL is going to make its way into my home theater... as i tend to abuse things in my vehicle

I have 2 of these new nvx 8’s and I want to know what you would charge me to design a box for my 2013 Acura MDX I will be running them at 1 ohm on 1200 watts rms I know you specialize in transmission line enclosures Is that what you would recommend in my vehicle I listen to a lot of old school rap and hip hop some metal classic rock. Thanks in advance my brother!!!!!
There is an equation you can go by using a voltmeter. It's power times ohms divided by voltage. Frequency tuning is: first finding the manufacturer frequency response. example: 500hz - 10,000hz is where your amp frequency dial needs to be set and crossover switch to full-pass or high-pass. But always double check pls?
I really like these subs. The only problem i have is the box specs are 1.25 cu ft. Thats huge for an 8 i can get a 10 in that amount of space. I know with trucks you have limited space and an 8 would work better.
you think a softer spider is not gonna last that long? just by you looking at it? Hmm seems like that JL w7 must also be trash. Hilarious, been overpowering my 15" for years, there is no "dampener" or spider sag. you have no idea what your talking about
@@Chuck_Sanders I asked because mine were soft outta the box. After six months sounded better. I planned for an upgrade, more SQ subs. Just wondering what spec I need to look at for SQ durability
@@Sql253 most people who know about dd, their quality, longevity of the company and customer service are willing to travel for their products. i traveled 160 miles to pick up my sub and amp and it was worth it
@@BlitzkriegStaffords They hired a national sales manager and fired all the local sale representatives. They increased the cost of the higher end subs double what they used to be. They seem to be switching business models.
@@Sql253 their current revision of the 99's are less than $100 more than when i purchased mine in 2017 and that $100 is worth the changes. unless you feel like 99's are not one of their higher end subs.
The NVX VCW are no joke I have two VCW15v3s on a Wolfram aw5000 in a 4th order blow through and it is serious

Great review! Sounds like a good sub for a small sealed strong watts and not SPL/SQL. For the everyday consumer this seems to measure nice!

Nvx has good sounding subs especially the old v1 vcw 12s. The new one supposed to be better

That’s really the problem with all these big 8” subs most need at least 1 cube and most need 1.5
the 15's go in 2 cubes sealed Optimal sealed box volume: 2.00 cubic feet

Does a durable soft suspension exist, or is that asking too much? Guess it depends on the application, listening habits etc.

They tried to sell to brick and mortar stores only so they missed online sales. No dd dealer near me. And the closest dealer got no stock.
