MB, just wanted you to know that I built my first box for a customer, a custom 2x10 enclosure tuned to 33hz, he installed my garage door and used to work at a car audio shop himself, and commissioned me to build him a box based on seeing my guitar and bass cabinets in my garage that I’ve been building for the past few years. I had been watching a lot of your channel and Mark over at car audio fabrications channel and I knew I wanted to jump into building boxes as a side gig. I’ve been in the base for a long time as well as guitar speaker cabinets but I finally decided couple years ago to start building my own when I realized I could do it. It’s now more than a hobby for me, and even though I have a day job, I consider pro audio and cabinet fabrication my true passion. Just wanted to thank you for the channel, the words of wisdom, the advice, and the entertainment. You rock bro 🤘🤘
Yeah, there's a reason why pipes are circles instead of rectangles. It flows air more efficiently. Now I'm excited to see what the 2508D or 2508f can pull off in that style of box
Proof the tried and true aero port is more efficient and has less drag then the square port. I think I’ve read this on every ported enclosure forum there has ever been. Also the loud speaker cookbook says to avoid parallel walls where ever possible to avoid any cancellations from happening so that could also have a role in higher dB
Not to mention the aeroport takes up less space in the enclosure netting you more available airspace for your sub(s). I always go with them whenever possible
I knew it i knew it… In all honesty I Immediately recognize the difference in the box from the kicker Q-L7 video. I was going to comment that the boxes were different but I wasn’t 100% sure so I did not want to assume. MB you have done it again brother.!!! You have set another trend for underseat enclosures. Watch how many people try to mimic this enclosure. This box style will begin to become popular within the next six months. Fact Not Fiction!!
I love the sound of a box with arrow ports. Now the box I got in my Suburban is good but if it had large arrow ports I think it would of sounded better.
People really expect you to give them a blueprint with all the angle cuts. Your channel inspired me to build my own box. But figuring out the angles isn't that hard. And tons of sites to help with your port shape and size and length.
Got a sundown E8 v6 d4 ,Got a 2008 double cab tundra, not much room under rear seat. Not sure I can get 34 " L ,and have it facing out.I seen another box that's down fire and up fire ,You built one for this vehicle?Love your channel man.Apreciate your knowledge my brother!
I have a sneaky idea that it might have to do with the shape of the Port"s ? LOL.. But I think you already know thiz ! I've always been a Round port Man myself.. I just got done cutting the 6 " PvC at 14" length for my sons box I'm putting in a Yukon for his graduation..! Putting in 2 db platinum series from 03 . Freshly rebuild with duce 2ohm coils an a fatter surround..
Love u made a great box even better!. But can u get the box build square with the new port style or does the box have to taper ? And I plan on using 2 interfire special edition IFS-10D4 SUBS with a fs of 27htz and 3 cubes 1.5 per sub box. I'd like to get on the order list for a box dual 10s for my specific subs ill send ts parameters its a very hard sub to look up cause it's a extremely limited run sub.
MB, please advise, im doing a box for Chevy Crew cab with ported 2 x 8" front firing. Can i put the port front firing in between the subs or ports on the sides. What will be the difference in the sound ? Thank you !
@MB how much width would you need in this box to fit 2 square 8’s thinking of possible hatch of my corvettes but would like 2 8’s if possible or 2-10’s
I got a question for the 8" sub master... Yes... I could run different/bigger subs.. I know!! But 4 X 8s or U 8s in a series tuned 6th order trunk build ? I have 7.5 cubes (8 cubes tight ) to work with, just want to run something different, enjoy demoing but still hold my own on the meter Power is not a problem I run a skv2 4500 with very sufficient electrical I'm open to any suggestions u may have brother man
So... better "Performance" from a 4" aerial port then slot port for a single 8" sub. Will this apply to dual 8"s in a truck encloser of the same sizes? Thank you MBE...
IMO, no not necessary. I think it has more to do with the location of port and sub, and even shape of box. But really its about trial and error. With all the variables there is no perfect formula.
I'm just finishing up a duel QL78 box for a Ford. I was looking for a 6 inch pipe cheapest piece I could find was $60 bucks in a 10' length. Ended up stealing a used 5 " sewage PVC drain pipe. Cleaned it sanded t and painted it red. My enclosure is pound out some good shit.
U gonna have to raise the seat if you want anything decent under there.... You MIGHT get a 6.5" under there without raising the seat..... But why not raise the seat if you're going to spend $1,000 or more by the time you get wiring amplifier box subs signal processing, all you got to do is take some 2x2 square tubing drill some holes and you got yourself a seat lift it ain't hard
@@M.B.Enclosures one more question , how do u decide on weather or not a sub can use 16-20 sq inches of port vs another sub that does good between 12-16 ?
Not particularly. Cone area wins out for output every time. If you give 2 12s the air space they need and the port they need they'll outperform 8s every time. A single 12 should outperform 2 8s if you have the space for it.

very sweet, 8 beatin down most 12's and even the dual sub boxes I bet
Love that box shape and design, nice work bro.
If gives off that classic JL audio wedge box design.
Man I was just about to ask would it work in a Toyota Camry lol, but you said Toyota. Keep up the great work.
You already know My-G 👍🏾👍🏾💥💥💯
Can’t wait for you to test out the db drive WDX g5 to see where it stands in the leaderboards
I have already had them on the channel…here is the playlist..

I have one for the challenge…but it will not beat the QCLASS or DD in score. But it a good 8”
Damn. I really like your channel, always informational.
But you need to get a microphone ASAP.

You should build one for the ram 1500 backseat there is nothing out there for that application

Can you name some of the websites?
Very nice. Efficiency all the way.
Aye man! Shut up and take my money. 🤣🤣 Awesome build 💪🏾

Nice enclosure!!! 🔥🔥
I always go with an aeroport, they just sound better I think. The air can move thru them better.
I need one of these in my truck… go ahead call me soccer mom lol. I just want alittle extra bump
Good work on that enclosure
Custom fit inside a Mini truck single Cab this 8" will Bump just like a 12
Dimensions please ,I’m curious if this will fit in the rear hatch of a 2023 Nissan z… thanks and love your sharing of knowledge
Looking back on this video, I wonder how the response curve looks for each port
I want that single 8 for my work truck
Nice enclosure
If I can ever afford a Tundra, I'll be coming to you for the hookup. Got a Benz right now and I can't do anything stereo wise in it.
Yes sir gotta get one
I know it's not in the same class but I'd like to see what the evl 8" would do in that enclosure
I'm reaching out to him to get a box for that exact setup. Skar 8" Evl under the rear passenger side seat of my 2012 crew cab Nissan Titan.
I'm in desperate need off a sub setup for the trunk of my 2018 Lexus GS350 FSPORT to complement the Mark Levinson System. Please help. SOUND QUALITY!
Question in a 03 expedition on the driver side rear tire theirs a panel with nothing behind it, is that enough room for two 8's.
LOve this and need this in my life. You sell fosgate to?
Do u recommend putting 2 G7 8" in that same box. And get the best quality sound
I wonder if it's like how JL use to do the wedge boxes?
😮nice!!

What do u like better , ported with aero or slot ?
Don’t matter to me…my 3 net levithian is slot and it does 140 with 2 8’s
@@M.B.Enclosures one more question , how do u decide on weather or not a sub can use 16-20 sq inches of port vs another sub that does good between 12-16 ?
Do you have a website for the stuff you sale or do you have to call or text only
It is custom to order
