This scene was awesome cause you actually get to see the power and strength he has, and you get to see him in silver which was cool

That's the suite I wanted to see through out the whole movie.
The movie wasn't bad. Well it was better than a lot of movies that are out now.
Definitely didn't deserve the hate it got and was for sure underrated.

I was so excited about Robocop coming back. It turned out to be a tortured character study with lots of jump cuts and just a boring plot that mirrored the present rather than the future.
I love how he jumped over that wall.
Other than keeping the right hand, this was a pretty cool design for an alternate RoboCop. Then they ruined it by making it "tactical"... although it WAS pretty fun to hear Michael Keaton's character say "Let's go with black".
That was the whole joke that really kind of started with this scene. I'm sure if it hadn't been for studio meddling we would've gotten more out of this whole thing. The idea that everything's made in China, everything's dictated by focus groups, marketed a certain way (Michael Keaton's character even says "Let make him tactical" it's all satire). And his black armour also, on a more symbolic level if you want to go that far, represents him AS the product and his departure from his initial humanity that he steadily loses a grip on as they tinker with his brain both while in China testing and just before the presentation, something he was very much in touch with when he was silver here (he acts and reacts like a normal, snarky human being, like himself, and he which he then regains at the end of the movie when he's freed from OCP's grips).

you know what have been cooler? that murphy has still his complete organic torsu, head and arm. that these don't make any hydraulic noises when he use them.

It's just audio design. Same reason people like to hear sound while watching space movies.
Imagine this version of Robocop vs. Cyborg from the Zack Snyder Cut Justice League, interesting Fight/Battle. Keep in mind Cyborg can Manipulate Technology, amongst other things. Imagine this Robocop and Cyborg vs. the NS5s from the 2004 film I-Robot, interesting fight/battle!
Cyborg would win in less minute
Imagine - they could have used a practical suit like this for Cyborg instead of the CGI crapfest we ended up with. Sorry, but even the Snyder Cut didn't fix that aspect.

This movie had a lot of promise, but behind the scenes the director had to kill his true vision of a rated R for PG-13 and cut his ideas, that's why the villain of the movie feels like watching Nickelodeon!? God! this could have been great! if they changed the name of the movie it would have been great! but as long as Peter Weller, and his Robocop 1987 is still alive and kicking the movie will not get a Sequel? Especially since they are moving forward with Robocop2 the true sequel to the original movie and writers, God! I LoVe the Original Robocop!

@@water713 if it was called Cyborg Police Officer, it would be a clear ripoff but wouldn't make any money. It'd be just another "Transmorphers" or "Alien Predator" or "Independents' Day". Look em up LOL
But being called Robocop, it has the brand name, so some people eat it up - mostly, I'm sure, those without appreciation of the original, as most of what makes Robocop great has been gutted or flipped a full 180.
