This video is incorrect about the roman deity mercury. WE named the planet mercury because the roman deity ‘mercury’ is a messenger; a fast running person. Mercury is the fastest planet so we named it after the deity mercury. NOT the other way around.
The planet had nothing to do with mercury from roman mythology, until we named the planet after it.

@@wenders5884 Astrologers also explain it as an optical illusion. Mercury doesn't travel backwards. It only looks like that from the point of view from the earth. It circulates the sun in 88 days so will pass by the earth three or four times in every year. It's not faster. It just as a smaller circuit than the earth.
@@johnnyb4266 It's up to you think like that... there are a lot of flaws and impossibilities in your moving earth theory. All mystery is solved if earth is understood to be round and still, at the centre of univerese....
Even our own observations from the ground confirm the earth to be a sphere. When standing on the shore looking out on the horizon, the curvature of the earth cuts off the bottom of ships in the distance.

It never ceases to amaze me that so many people who know NOTHING about a topic feel qualified to judge it's validity. An individual whose thinking is limited to the five physical senses is not likely to accept anything that exists beyond this without solid proof. In my experience, any debate is meaningless, but the kind of comments found herein provide certain people with some kind of emotional-judgement relief or just cynical entertainment.

It honestly does seem to have an affect on us. I like to think of it as, the messenger god decided to take a vacation from us for a while, and all communications go crazy, and harmless universal practical jokes start to be played on people for the messenger gods amusement. At the end of the retrograde, everything turns to normalcy again, and we all realize just how much we need the messenger god in our lives.
