    I love how the loader "throws" the grenades into the gun, fantastic. Strong guy!

    Explain something to me, you need to have very good communication between the magazine and the gunner, as the breech can hit the magazine body and empty shells at different times. Good video!

    A T-72 can reload in about 6 seconds. This loader can do about 5-6 seconds but sometimes the spent shells get stuck which slows the process down.

    • @andrealves2630
      @andrealves2630 Před 4 měsíci +4

      T-72's fastest rate is 7s but it is very rarely achieved for a few factors:
      1. The gunner has to manually command autoloader to load the gun AFTER the shot, which already takes about half a second;
      2. If the desired round is the next one on the carousel, it takes 7s to load it, but if the carousel needs to spin around to look for the next desired round, it can take much longer than 7s, in fact it can take up to 20s for it to find and load the desired round

    • @Iginihechanska
      @Iginihechanska Před měsícem

      Another thing is that you never fire five rounds from the same position. 2 or 3 shots and you’ll change position and during that change the Loader is cleaning up.

    Dear Ukrainian tank people,
    Be smart and work fast as a loader in the Leopard 1. Have the next grenade in your arm immediately after every shot. Always load with your fist. If possible, toss shells out of the hatch immediately. If a firefight is to be expected: A grenade in the barrel, one in the arm, one between the legs! The gunner will not switch ammo locations unless commanded to do so.
    Always run the MG 3 covers in plenty of oil. You are allowed to lick. Never fire more than an absolute maximum of 300 rounds. Otherwise fire hazard.
    Good Advice: Ukrainians , Regards Ex Platoon Leader Leopard 1

      Thank you, I’m sure Ukrainian Leopard operators don’t get any training whatsoever on how to operate their Leopard tanks and instead are reading your comments in order to learn how to operate their tanks.

    Seems like the empty casings don't eject all the way out most of the time. Are the training rounds using some kind of reduced propellant charge to impart less wear to the gun or what else might be causing this?

    • @Iginihechanska
      @Iginihechanska Před měsícem +1

      No, same amount of powder. You oil the breech all the way into the barrel and the case will fly out by itself. So in this case they either gave it too little oil or the breech just started to collect too much dirt and dust.

    Dilettant. Lässt die Hülsenwanne volllaufen. Steht nach jedem Schuss rum und greift sich nicht das nächste Geschoß, das er dann schon im Arm hat. Endleert umständlich die Hülsenwanne bevor er eine KE (APFSDS-T) läd, obwohl er sie oben aus der Luke werfen könnte? Da ist viel Wissen verloren gegangen. ( Ex PzZgFhr Leopard 1 A2)

      They are retired. They only do this in their spare time. Maintain the tank in their spare time, practice in their spare time and have 1 or 2 live firing practices a year, the one you see inclusive. So you can say, they do this for fun.
