way to go...on july 22 will be my 1 year anniversary now im 138lbs congrats on graduating RPN program. I have been an RPN for 23 years and still enjoy every aspect of my career I currently work in a LTC full time as well as a wound care nurse for the facility. Wish you all the best erinthanks for your videos your encouragement and positive attitude has helped me with my journey.

I'm soooooo excited for you!! I get the long term projects that take years to complete. That's really all we do around here. It makes getting something nice, affordable. Loooooove peanut butter in my vanilla protein shakes. Liquoris is a killer for me, even before surgery. I don't think it's the sugar, I find corn syrup in anything is deadly. Great looking pin!! Thank you Donna! I miss your face! I was telling my husband that I think it's the corn syrup (#1 ingredient) that's a killer for me as I seem to be able to handle real sugar in limited quantities. Ahh... the lessons we must learn... lol

Hey Erin!! I'm glad to see you've come back. it's been since January, I think, since you posted last and I was wondering what has gone on with you. Congrats on the 150's!!! I'm over Beaverton/Kirkfield area and am just going through the steps right now with getting a gastric bypass myself. in That, you are one of the very first people I found when I started looking into this and I am happy to see you have done so well. It gives me more confidence for my own journey. I'm proud of you!!

I feel so many similarities between us, I am almost 5 months post RNY here in Alberta and am looking to do my practical nursing program as well. It's so nice to see someone on the same trajectory and do it well!! I hope to follow you more on your journey :)
Tara Cutler oh wow! Good luck with the practical Nursing program! It's a very hard two years, especially when you have kids and the other responsibilities of being an adult... but VERY rewarding! When I did my final consolidation, the practical nurse I worked with had also had RNY so it was nice to talk about how to eat during shifts and see what she did. Ever consider doing videos? It's a nice record for yourself that you can go back and look at!
WoWmamaErin RNY I am hoping that the rewards are what is going to push me through the challenge. I have 2 young boys (8 & 5) so I don't know if I'm crazy for attempting this lol. I've considered videos but haven't really had the time recently as I've been a business owner for the last 2.5 years and it would just be one more thing to do. I enjoy following other people though! I'm totally of the same opinion as you about everything in moderation and I don't low carb either. It feels like such pressure from the community to do it and I find it makes me feel bad or wrong sometimes for not falling into that, do you ever feel that way?
There aren't many videos for this surgery in Ontario. How long did the whole process take? Like from your first seminar to the day of surgery? I'm having my first seminar in October and I'm worried it'll take a long time overall plus I'm also a student.
For me it was a long process as I delayed my surgery by 8 months so it wouldn't interfere with my first year of nursing school. I'm the worst person to answer this question for you! :( Have you looked into any of the Ontario WLS groups on Facebook?
