Jim DeFede is wrong. Salazar voted against the Chips act, but voted FOR the Consolidated Appropriation act of 2023. The CAA23, did not have the Chips act included in it. The funding Jim is referring to that she presented, is in the CAA23 bill.

If she really can’t remember her votes in the last session of Congress, she deserves to be voted out. If she remembers but is lying, she deserves to be voted out. She is a disgrace and is failing her constituents.
Whats even more arrogant is that she should know that "oh I cant recall" dosent work on Congressional votes as they are easily accessible public records. Any reporter worth their salt can look up EVERY vote taken by ANY member of Congress pretty much since the early 1800's and some from even earlier. "I dont recall my vote" isnt good enough and is a obvious cop out.

If you voted against money that came into your district for valuable, positive public works, then why should your constituents support your reelection? Your constituents' interests would be better served by a representative who doesn't hinder bills that improve their lives. And certainly not by a rep who is so blatantly party-first to the detriment of her district. We need politicians who can negotiate in good faith, and compromise, instead of hold a party line regardless of a bill's benefits to the populace.

I think if your elected official votes against a bill that brings money to districts, the district should not benefit from the funding. See how long their terms last when that happens.

As soon as she said "this money *I* bring back", I was like "except you *didn't* bring that money back, you tried to stop it from coming, it came in *spite* of you, not *because* of you." The fact that she personally delivered the check is completely irrelevant, that money would have gone there whether she was involved or not because the bill that provided it passed, while it's great that the interviewer called her out for taking credit for things she voted against, I'm kinda shocked he not only let her get away with that phrasing, but actually agreed with it by using it in his response.
