- This video is to help you understand the meaning behind the song Giza by @BurnaBoy ft @seyivibezvevo908. Afrobeats and West African music may be easier for some to understand when translated and explained. I hope you enjoy!
At the time of posting this, there is no official music video for this song. Please check out Burna Boy's and Seyi Vibez' CZcams channel for their latest uploads. - Hudba
When he said trip yen gbemi lo Zanzibar, he was talking about drugs😊
😂😂😂😂 men sha
Actually seyi vibe, has his own vibe,❤
Lol!
Another spot on analysis. This particular song highlights the multiple influences that have informed contemporary Nigerian culture - Arabic, European, and American. 🇳🇬
Thank you so much for the translation it makes listening to the music so much better. And I can relate when I go see Burna preform. Form Philadelphia/Trinidad
You are appreciated 😊❤
Ohh nice I hope you enjoy the show. I saw him on his tour last year and it was nice 🙂
It's a great video. It's actually Hasbunallah wa ni'mal wakilu. Also, it's Qul huwallahu....thank you.
Thanks for teaching!
I think that part Trips yen gbe mi lol Zanzibar means... Highness Not necessarily taking a trip like someone saying I dey on trips that means am high, so he's literally stating he is high to the extent he feels he's in Zanzibar
I stand corrected though
The best interpretation. Full bazooka means he's blowing the fumes so hot (of the weed I guess)
Omgosh 😂 I did not think of that. You may be right!
Komai da komai… means everything.
Best lyrics breakdown on the internet. Your knowledge, research and contextualisation of every word or phrase is spectacular 👏👏
Thank youuu ☺️
Lol... Trips yen (the high) gbemi lo Zanzibar (got me so high, I think I'm in Zanzibar). Full bazooka (this may well be a jumbo joint of weed or whatever he wraps lol)
We should sing African local languages If we have people like you. Actually we need people like you in every African region for just translating our African songs to the whites

Watching from the Gambia 🇬🇲
Niceee and much love to Gambia 🇬🇲 🤎
Hey! Amazing breakdown, thank you ❤ I just wanted to make a small addition as a person originally from Turkey, the Arabic words in this song are from Quran, and Quran has its own kind of Arabic - and many Arabic speaking countries speak their own variations. In Turkey people speak Turkish and interestingly enough, “para” means money 😄 I think some of the countries around use “para” for money as well. Also, Al Jazeera is the trustworthy source for the real things happening in middle east and northeast africa, I believe there’s an attribution to that, too.
In the muslim world, speaking words from Quran in songs (if they’re not ilahis/prayer songs) is generally considered derogatory so I’m surprised by that fact.
That song is fire and your breakdown is amazing. Thank you!
Hi ahh okay thats interesting! I deeply appreciate when you all help clarify a point or an idea I have/shed more insight on things. I had never heard of Al Jazeera before this song and it shows how limited I am. Thanks for adding to this!
Hey, it’s just my tiniest addition - your work opens up my horizons (:
@@gizemozcan4753 thanks 🙂
Para in Nigerian 🇳🇬 terms (pidgin) means noise or querel and not the nonsense u are talking here 🙄. And in Nigeria we sing with many stuff and there is nothing derogatory here, so stop bringing the religious nonsense here plz 🤔. There are many words in pidgin that are borrowed from several languages and coined to have a similar but different meaning. So don't think everything u heard there has to do with what u know bro. Nigeria have over 600 spoken languages, and pidgin peaks its words from most of this languages. And same pidgin u see here is complex and a bit different when you visit different parts pf Nigeria because, the main languages spoken around that area mostly influences the pidgin language spoken in that particular area. So keep quiet if you don't know anything 🤫🙄
@@ningirtarsoo I didn’t say I found it derogatory but it could be found derogatory by religious groups :) Go ask any muslim and they will agree with the potentiality
Thanks for all the information sis, I really appreciate the music
Para para pro max- paranoia pro max... (Madness pro max)...A Naked man can't put his hands in his pocket....the statement literally goes to say that a mad man doesn't have money to spend...So don't loose focus and when you get money show love....👍🏿
I'm like say that shit agn , "igbo"🤣
Komi de komi, in that instance can be "hence"...."yanda luzanga....Hence...let it roll"
Oh got it. Thank you for sharing
Komi de ko mi, means "if nothing at all". Or it could mean " at the least"
Is when you listen to burna boy you get this kind of quality lyrics

Am here to represent UGANDA which got musicians like 1.EddyKenzo 2.Sheebah 3.AlienSkin 4.Chameleone 5.Azawi 6.Pallaso 7.B2C 8.SpiceDiana 9.FikFameica 10.BebeCool and the bonus of Bazabaza
I know a few from this list but not enough. I will check out the list you sent me in the other video. Much love to Uganda 🤎
Who helps you on this translations actually? 🤔. Nigeria is a multi lingua country with over 600 languages. And many Nigerians speak 3 or more languages, so most of our musicians can sing a single song with 3 or more languages. So it's not that easy to decode, expecially from someone who is not Nigerian 🇳🇬. You tried though, and kudos to you and your team of translators. It's not easy translating Nigerian 🇳🇬 songs actually 😂
I am Nigerian, omo Egba. My parents raised me in the culture and I schooled in Abeokuta..Thats how I know Yoruba.
I grew up mainly in US so I’m also American. Thats why I have the accent.
I shouted out my Arabic plug in the video I think. I even have a French plug lol
And of course when I need help with Yoruba or English words or sayings, I reach out, research and study.
Thank you oo like you’re right. Translating several artists no be beans lol but we move sha. I try my best and when I’m wrong, you guys correct me.
@@Simbihawt wow love to read this.. love you big mummy 😘😘 keep it up okay
how can you assumed she is not Nigerian, don't be decieve by her American accent, Nigeria is everywhere,
Flaunt your fings
Not find your fate
What does flaunt your fings mean?
@@Simbihawt Flaunt could be that TO SHOW

Lol!
Hausa is not a Nigerian language, it was brought by the traders from Malo. It's spoken in about 7 countries including Ghana
Thank you. I said “Hausa is a language that they speak in Nigeria” so that should be fine
u failed in the komi dakomi
I’ll get it next time
Correct her then 🤔🙄
Why are you Igbos always a joke? Aside from pidgin English in the song, what else can you comprehend from the lyric of the song Mr. Okwueze
