Jesus what a genius coach! So many videos are there with coaches trying to show as much vocabulary they have without being on point. Your videos are all - straight to point and explaining every step. You are genius
Appreciate your kind words and support!
Unquestionably the best ball-striking-whilst-instructing teacher on the web.
Lol I like that phrasing----thank you :)
i've never had a pro show me or explain the importance of arm extension as you did. Great video, clear and helpful.
Glad this one helped, Craig!
Incredible results: my strikes are longer and straighter. Thanks!
Love to hear this!!
After watching a million golf videos, tips, secrets and tricks, this is far the best, most logical explanation of what the swing is and how to stand, turn, bend, tilt and extend. Thanks!!
Glad this one was helpful my friend!
Any time at the range when someone needs help I refer them to your channel and tell them not to look at the others for the actual swing techniques. I have totally found my swing after a 18 year hiatus thru this channel. I owe it all to you Eric. I didn’t even realize you analyzed swings at your site. I’m looking at it today.
Very Kind Dan---I appreciate those kind words and support my friend! Glad to hear that!
I feel like I found the pot of gold ! Thank you Eric !
Brilliant video. The best I have seen on this topic where even my usual go to’s could not solve it for me. Will try this,. Thanks
i too find eric's golf info very solid indeed.
One of the best videos on the golf swing. I watch this before every round. I love all your content.
Love to hear that---appreciate the support!
Amazing swing lesson. So very clearly explained. First class instruction.
Thank you Tom!
Finally! I now know what "extension" means. Thanks🤗
👊Hope this one helps your game, Larry!
Wow! Probably the clearest instruction of 3 fundamentals to the downswing.
Thank you :)
THE BEST VIDEO COACH HANDS DOWN!!!! ALSO, BETTER THAN ANY IN PERSON GOLF COACH I'VE MET AS WELL.
Appreciate you being here with us!
Thank you for yhese great video's. You are the best and i cant thank you enough for really helping my swing
Thanks for your support! Glad the videos are helping your game!
THANK YOU! I finally understand. My swing has been lost for years. Caught this video minutes before going to bed. Tried to mimic the feel. Next day after work, I went to the range. My swing has never felt so balanced and I am smashing the ball. Your channel is AMAZING!
Love to hear that! Appreciate those kind words!!
You are right the BEST video ever very well explained can't wait to try it I have a hard time extension with my arms Thanks
Thanks Michael! Hope it helps your game!
I'm one of these guys, now 71, trying to reclaim the distance and skill of his youth. I've watched a ton of channels, subscribed to some and this is one of the two best in my opinion. Many golf pros start channels but 'teaching' is very different than playing or 'hit it like this'. Eric does a super job of explaining in useful terms and less time gazing at the ball in flight over and over again. As an ex-CEO, I am not known for handing out unwarranted compliments. This video, or any of his videos, are extremely well done from a learning perspective and are worth your time.
Appreciate your kind words and support! Thank you!
How’s this man giving out free knowledge?😮 Another amazing video❤
:) Thanks Adam!
Your videos are amazing ! I am a beginner and i always watch your tips and try to practice them. Your videos are so simplified that things make so much sense. 😊 thank you.
Thank you! Hope the videos serve you well!!
Great stuff. Thank you for providing slow precise, clear teachings/instructions.
Thank you, David!
One of the best analyses of the end of the downswing I have seen.
Thanks Kenneth! Hope it helps your game!
You are an amazing coach.
Thank you!
You are such a good instructor and the video editing is great.
Thank you!!
You are a brilliant coach I enjoy how you explain each of the swing concepts.
Thank you for the support and kind words, Kevin!
Thank you that was great great lesson
Appreciate it Sam!
Eric, yes, best of your videos. I watch you a lot but this is exactly what they told me at one of those golf instruction places where they use tons of technology and compare your swing vs. golf pros. I have played for 20+ years but there is always room for improvement. Awesome, keep them coming.
Really appreciate it Sergio!!
This makes so much sense, I'll do my best to out it into practice. Taking slow motion vids of myself really helps in noting the progress.
Totally agreed Kevin----need to have video going for first few swings of mechanics practice ALWAYS to confirm REAL vs FEEL
@@CogornoGolf So true, I'm only just beginning to realize, after about 11 months of practice, that feel is probably the most important component of learning swing mechanics. I've recorded my swing at the start. In my last vid I noticed what you were talking about just before parallel in the follow through. Recording is a must, and seems like the best training aid for me.
Fantastic video !!! I love also that you give details and then hit the ball then it is easier to see how you blend all different aspects of the down swing .Great job Eric !!
Appreciate it :)
Excellent!!! Best tip video I've seen in a long time... great explanation of each step... and how to combine them ... really boils the essential parts of the swing down into the basics
Thanks! Hope it helps your game!
This is for sure your best video! Congrats!!!
thank you :)
very useful advice. Thanks.
Our pleasure!
Excellent and informative video. A must see for all. Ty for posting
Thanks Nick!
Very good step by step coaching. Thank you so much😃
Thank you! Hope it helps your game!
Not only a great coach but a great swing to go with it. Love it Eric 👌
Appreciate it! Thank you!
Thanks Eric. Can't wait to go to the range and give this a try.
Our pleasure Robert---hope this one serves you well. Hard to go wrong getting these pieces correct. Like stretching or doing yoga.....they dont get old :)
Brilliant! Best explanation of extension in the downswing.
Thank you!
Simply superb instruction video. Glasgow, Scotland
Thank you :)
Great drill and instruction. Well done. So helpful!! Thank you.
Thanks Michael---our pleasure!
This is absolutely magic!
:) Thanks for watching, Chris!
Great drill. Answers a whole lot of questions!
Thanks Rocco!
Loving the kids swing in the background!! 🙂
Awesome video! Thank you so much. I will start practicing with arms extended, elbows close, and body turn to keep club head as far away from my body as possible. I’m excited to watch the improvement over time!
Thank you! Hope this one serves you well!
This is brilliant Eric !......only just came across it, so simple, basics, with checklists .
I ll be taking this to the range and drilling this in.
Thanks Ray---hope it serves you well!
As someone who stepped out of the game for a few years to focus on a new family. I have since been at the range practicing this drill. What has amazed me is how quickly this has formed muscle memory and how the club feels so much more natural as an extension of my arms. This video got me back into the game. Invaluable piece of coaching. A million thanks. Just spoilt myself to a very nice new set of more advanced irons
Love this Thomas! Great to hear this one helped!!
Great instruction. Very well explained and shown. Thanks 🙏🏽
Thank you :)
Eric ,this video is great, I was practice on the driving range just now, I will keep doing it until is naturally or muscle memory. Good drill, I'm little steff for the finish over the shoulder ,but I'm working on it. Thanks again Eric.
Love it! you got it Oscar!
One of the best ever!
Thank you!
This is genius. You are a beacon in the confusing world of golf instruction.
Thanks for the support and kind words!
This is a great video. There are so many videos about that tell you what to do during the back and down swing. It’s not always the best way to teach imo. I have found that, if you understand where you need to get to in the swing your body and brain will figure it out. Any more that teach this way would be brilliant. Great video, great content and a solid swing as always. ⛳️
Love it, Mark! Glad you enjoyed this one!
Eric, 2 car wash sponges from discount store taped together with duct tape better than ball basket...all for under $3 (acts like well advertised ball between arms). Excellent lesson.
I like that---good one! Slap a logo on and $19.99???
:)
Fantastic! Thanks pal!
Thanks Tony!
very great info here. I have always struggled with rotation and extension coming through the ball. But knowing these simple key points has made my swing repeatable, and kept my swing thoughts reassuring before i step up to the ball. head behind the ball, elbows connected, extended through the entire arc of the swing, and rotate through!
Thanks Marc hope it serves you well!
The explanation is crisp and clear thank you for the explanation
Thanks! Hope it helps!!
Dude you're a dawg thank you for this content! The 180 yard 7 iron drill really helped me understand the way the lower body should work in the golf swing, obviously, not perfect after a day of work but the distances of my shots probably increased 10-15%. On top of that I was having knee swelling if I took too many shots and this seemed to help me rotate properly, thanks for the tips man greatly appreciated, the way you break things down to the micro details with excellent explanations is a Godsend!
Love to hear this one helped my friend!
Excellent video.
Thanks!
Thank you! Our pleasure!
The best coaching
Thank you!
I think this is an excellent video and now I'm a new subscriber. I've spent the last couple of years really trying to gain a solid knowledge of true (not just "traditionally understood") golf swing fundamentals that are geometrically sound. The visual / overall swing thought I've come up with as a result is that any geometrically sound golf swing (or golf swing instruction) has to support the proper blend of a spinning disc on plane (with the pivot point being the sternum about arm pit high) and the movement / forces involved of a trebuchet. The trebuchet part covers so many things, and it may seem odd at first, but I think it makes sense to most people when they really think about it.
I learned some very good fundamentals from your video that were explained in a more effective and easily understood way than I've ever seen before, and they all work perfectly with my overall swing blend criteria. Thank you for putting this video together.
There could be other people like me who can make the mistake of taking some things so literally that we end up taking them too far. I think that's possible with the range bucket drill. I think it's a great drill, but if taken too far it could (maybe?) result in preventing (or at least somewhat restricting) the free movement of one of the trebuchet components. Every pro swing I watch in slow motion (I love watching pro swings already in slow motion at 0.25 speed - you can really isolate all the movements that way) includes a naturally allowed compression of the angle between the left upper arm and the left chest muscle as the backswing progresses and at the start of the downswing (within reason - it isn't a forced motion). It may seem like I'm really over analyzing here, but I would want to be careful that the range bucket drill doesn't restrict that motion.
I'd also like to say how much I appreciate the shaft angle on the left side picture at the 15:27 mark where you are completing the follow through. Thank you for having that angle still on plane with the swing plane. I'm not sure why but instruction videos that have an overly horizontal shaft position at the end of the follow through almost make me angry. I'm always on the lookout for extremes and restricting the wrists and the overall natural flow of a complete follow through is one of those things that really bugs me.
I know this was a wordy comment, but the main point is your teaching method is one of the best I've seen. Thank you.
Hey Mark! Appreciate the kind words, support and thoughts there!
This is going to be my drill. Thanks
Hope it serves you well, Ron!
Brilliant lesson, thank you!
Thank you Larry!
I tried this at driving range today, every shot was straight and I have been going left recently, improved me 75%, will keep at it to hit with more power later 🎉 thanks so much you saved me!!
I've only recently started playing and in my 40's
Love to hear it!
Again, a great video made simple with great results. You are a genius at work. Thank you.
I have recommended your channel to many players who are either beginning or experiencing problems.
Have great 4th of July 😊
Thank you for your kind words and support!!
I love the detailed teaching method, great instructional video. Of course I gave it a two thumbs up and subscribed to his channel.
Appreciate it, Joe! Thanks for being here with us!
Eric, great explanation of a fundamental in golf. Well done!
Thank you!
Excellent video and well presented! Never seen it before. Thanks!
Appreciate that :)
Jusqtq discovered qyourq channel and already hooked. You explanation is firsqt class
Appreciate you being here with us!
Greetings from Brussels, Belgium. Another excellent video. I have problems with the torso moving forward in the driver swing. Picked up some very useful hints from your “ iron vs driver swing” . Hope it will help tomorrow on the course!
Thank you! Hope the videos serve you well!
Brother Thank you! Also that "moving your ear towards the target' with pitching has helped me hit even more crisper KFC shots. Thanks for teaching the crisp.
Love to hear this! Our pleasure!
This one’s Gold Eric 🤙🏻
Appreciate it!
Best video ever ..very well done .. now I can see why ..thanks Eric
Thank you, Edward!!
I believe this drill will fix my golf swing’s problem. Thanks
Hope it helps, Jenny!
@@CogornoGolf definitely I will let you know how am I doing after one month’s drill.
Amazing, detailed video! Now time to practice.
Hope it serves you well!
The best golf lesson ever.
Appreciate that!
The 0:04 "focusing on how to start the downswing" part is missing from the video?
Lol.....maybe GETTING to the follow through position.....IS......how you should start the downswing :)
@@CogornoGolf 😄I absolutely agree. Unfortunately when I give it this instruction my brain can't find a way to achieve a quality strike on the way there 😂For me the magic move would be the one that starts the downswing in a way that achieves perfect strike and follow through, particularly because once my brain initiates the downswing there isn't time for any other conscious thoughts in the less than half a second it takes to complete the swing.
Great video. Very good explanation. It will make practice easier.
Thank you!
First class amigo. Greetings from Switzerland
Appreiate it!
Brilliant Eric. Well done!
Thanks Jim!
Great info extremely well presented TY
Thank you!
Agree that is one of your best video's - great advice
Thanks James!
Great Lesson!!! Thanks.
Thank you!
Well done great video
Thanks Eric!
So helpful. I never know what my finish shd feel like! I'll practice this 'til I get it. Thx Barb T
Hope this helps Barb!
Very useful. Thanks.
Our pleasure!
Great Eric!!!
Thank George!
This is SO GOOD! Thank you!
Thank you :)
Eric look at Rory and that other guy forgot his name when they are at impact there left arm is straight down there body and no space is seen before they get to your straight arms outward , most people there is space at impact between there left arm and body therefore weak right shots and the Club collapses before straightening out . Your still the best on CZcams second to none ..
Thanks John!
Brilliant, many thanks. 😊
Our pleasure!
I’m like 10 seconds in the actual video and I know this’ll be huge for me. I’ve compared my swing side by side to many great golfers to help me see what needs fixing and the biggest thing is the swing/turn of my head after impact like a propeller. Excited to watch the rest and see if it helps my swing!
Love it Connor---hope this one serves you well!
Great Advice video tips
thank you!
I kind of built my entire new swing on this concept. Kind of in a 3 step process to get the feels down. I felt what it felt like with my arms straight and the club at about 45 out in front of the ball I did realize if I didn't turn I couldn't keep it, so I would turn to feel the body turn and bends, then I took the club and swung it backwards up to the backswing and saw it I could swing through and hold the finish.
I had so many flaws really getting too low and dipped the lead shoulder too much shaft lean at address and I'd throw it out too early in the downswing and catch it fat. Almost instantly after drilling that I found out I stand up taller at address and my legs are actually working. Good stuff eric
Great to hear this one has helped your game my friend! Nice work!
Huge help
Great to hear!
Thank You
Our pleasure!
Thanks for another great lesson. Will be working on this at the indoor practice bay I go to. Now I need to find the drill you have to increase lost swing speed starting with no backswing that another favorite of mine, the Average Golfer, just posted saying it came from you.
Our pleasure, John!
Here ya go!
czcams.com/video/xvm0u9XRMO8/video.html
Hope it helps your game👊
Definitely the missing pieces to my swing, I rotate and extend my arms but don't extend my torso towards target or keep my head behind the ball, hit low stingers all the time. I like the alignment stick between feet as a wall to keep your head behind, great stuff Eric.
100% that one will help you then
This is more on that part may help as well:

Great video
Thank you!
Great Lesson! Thank you..the golfers behind you could use some help 😂
Thank you!
I tried this today on the range and had good results.
Great to hear!
Practicing this today!
Hope this helps!
This video restored my faith in golf 😂. Thank you! My misses still tend to be pulls even though this has helped with strike consistency after just one range session. Do you think that’s me not getting my weight forward and then coming over the top? Will record next time but just checking what I should look out for
Hey Pat! Haha glad to hear that!!
Could be several things really.....I would need to see to confirm....here are videos I did with checklist of things that could cause pulls and to fix....this should help:
czcams.com/video/99Tf5d-w8ls/video.html&pp=ygUSRXJpYyBDb2dvcm5vIHB1bGxz

Simplify wow bro, 👌👌
Appreciate you watching!
Kid on the range over Eric's left shoulder is demonstrating the very swing fault he's talking about.
This is perfect…good stuff
Appreciate it!
Creating shaft lean with forward movement, combined with turning my chest to the sky while maintaining side bend... these were the missing pieces in the work I've been doing to transform my swing from the one I learned in the 70s as a teen into the more modern, big muscle, turn oriented swing I've been working towards for months, years. Thank you!
👊Glad this one helped your game, David!
