LYRICS
Fuck ya!
Remember way back when? They said this life was a dream. Well it still is, and I never wanna wake. Standing in my backyard at our old practice space hard to hold back the tears from streaming down my face.
That was then, this is now. Ya can't run before you go learn how, and you won't.
This is our corner of the world, where we can come to be ignored.
This is our point where we return. This is where I came from.
Remember way back when? This place seemed bigger to me. Learned how to play guitar, and made my mom watch me. We always knew back then, just where I'd be right now. We never questioned it, was more like when and how.
That was then, this is now. Ya can't run before you go learn how, and you won't.
This is our corner of the world, where we can come to be ignored.
This is our point where we return. This is where I came from.
This is what made us who we became. Where they know me, not just my name. There's not another place the same, this is where I came from. This is where I came from.
Ya!
You had another thing comin if you were sleepin' on us. Same old voices in my ear sayin' enough is enough. Well, I'm sayin' me and all my friends don't need you around.
This is where I came from.
I'm right back at it again.
This is what made us who we became, where they know me, not just my name.
There's not another place the same, this is where I came from. - Hudba
I love how they never mention Ocala in this song, so anyone can relate to their hometown.
Agreed, while obviously the video is more personal, the song is still open to anyone who wants to listen and decide to self-insert.
That's why I love this song :D
No but its ocala cause i live here
Anonymooseity I hate my town.
Evan Faraday is it soooo washed up
My favorite part of this song is that it never references Ocala in the lyrics. So everyone can relate to this song and where they came from.
Forest Lake, MN represent!!
+Mike Cherry nice. pine city is my home town
I'm from Minnesota too! A tiny little town in the southeast corner :)
Ft.Lauderdale, FL WHATS UP!!
Twisted Reasons I hate this town, it's so washed up
Growing up is the definition of moving from "All Signs Point to Lauderdale" to "City of Ocala"
For me it was always city of ocala
Its a good thing bands like this exists. They never forget where they started.
Funny you should say that, Danny from AA/WAH springs to mind. He's from Hull, where I'm from, yet, not only does he never mention it but he flat-out denies it and says he's from York (close to Hull, but a slightly different city). I went to school with his cousins, one of them was a close friend of mine for many years actually and she says (or said back then) they barely heard from him when he moved to America. Couldn't ever see him doing a video like this, haha.
no one does, except danny worsnop and some other ones
My Bf introduced me to this song, it's cool
A7X Loves Huntington Beach
Amonstar 12 yess
This is why ADTR is the shit. I personally don't know of any bands that are so open and genuine with their fans. You can tell they're really thankful for everything they have and they haven't forgotten where they've came from
Parkway Drive ;)
The xPoison I've never listened to them :p
Wang Lo watch "Home is for the Heartless" and "The DVD" ;)
Patrik Knowhow I will definitely check it out
***** Awesome! czcams.com/video/p4ncsKhk-ZQ/video.html
27:30 + my favorite part btw :D
I'm not even from Ocala and this video made me feel homesick
I feel u. I lived in fl till recently and the whole state looks the fucking same this might as well have been Palm Bay.
Nice pun dude
LOL same here
I'm from Ocala and this music video really reminded me how I'm never getting out of this stupid town.
it1345 yeah same here.
I've been listening to this guys since I was 13... Now I'm 18 and damn, time flies. Thanks A Day to Remember for being the soundtrack of my teen years.
Sincerely, thank you guys.
+ffgto1990 Same shit dude. I've been listening to them since 2010, I guess...6 fucking years spent under this guys' music.
I remember the first moment where I knew who they were. Then I had no telephone or alarm clock, so my TV always woke me up as it have an alarm clock function. So, one day this guys woke me up with All I Want. I just remember it as clearly as if it happened yesterday. I woke up in a tick, then I sat on the bad. Openmouthed, I was sitting and listening to this shit . I was like "OH, HOLY FUCK, I'm gonna listen to this guys for my whole life". And this words are still in my head since that day. And I can proudly say this guys are my favorite band. I spent my best years with them and it ain't gonna stop.
+igorscream The first song I've heard from them was All I want and I had the same reaction. Amazing band!
+jooohny Spot on - my son introduced me to their music, I am hoping they come to UK soon, I will probably be the oldest their, great band & great music.
I'm 24 and started listening to them I was 13 too. Ur feeling old? Lol amazing band how music she be.
Same here buddy they got me through secondary school man
The part where he says "these are the train tracks fro downfall" i think he means where it says "meet me out past the train tracks I'm leaving and not coming back" and thats awesome
Yeah no shit
You have some serious issues
mikster1550 fight me
+Jeremy Hines Jeezus, calm down!
+Jeremy Hines Its actually from their song Downfall of us all
I live in Ocala and trust me our proudest achievement is the fact that ADTR is from here 😂❤️
Used to make me proud, but IMO they're just not good anymore
@@brianwilson3133 Why?
@@brianwilson3133 why??
Idk, just seems like they've lost something. All their old songs had a much more powerful message, and they they just had more emotion and hit harder. Now it's all just kinda bland and boring. But again that's just my opinion and I respect anyone else's
I gotta give it to the horses too
ADTR needs to make a full documentary about themselves, they've done enough stuff to easily fill up a movie.
Can't agree more I heard They are actually
***** dude that would be epic. Good idea man
Yep haha
I could've sworn they said they were working on one during wsmfy
The music vid for Right Back At It Again is the only documentary they need, haha
I will never stop jamming to this heartfelt album! All-time fave forever!
Andrew: I will never stop jamming to this heartfelt album!
Life lessons learned the hard way: *Am I just chopped liver?*
This album saved my life.
@@andrewheffernan2961 No it didn't you just love it a lot!
30 years old now. The nostalgia. The chills i felt seeing where some of most important music to me was made. God, those signs about for those who have heart. This town looks exactly like where i live.
Being born and raised in Florida I can tell you from personal expierence that there is nothing to do in Ocala.
I can definitely see that. The town has a very small homey feel *****
Anissa Wilson I live here and I can assure you there's plenty to do in Ocala, maybe not major things like Warped Tour or amusement parks, but there's still a lot to do
Raised in Ocala and now living in Tampa, I can confirm that no, I really don't want to return to Ocala. It's not that I hate it, I just can't stand how judgmental people come off as.
Born and raised in Ocala. There's def a lot to do. More outdoorsy stuff. Which I enjoy most. We have really cool springs and trails. And plenty of festivals. Everyone knows everyone (which can be a good thing and a bad thing) but the connection between everyone is a lot different than anywhere else I've ever been. I would have said different like 5 years ago but I've grown to appreciate the shit out of Ocala.
kfcreese I absolutely agree! I've only been here 7 months an I absolutely love it here.
I moved from Ocala to Kentucky and I watch this video everytime I’m feeling a little homesick 😭❤️
Back in 23' to say that this is still my favorite band, and it's songs like this that really nail that home for me.
Watch our new music video for 'Bullfight' at czcams.com/video/Cm5Nevsj1CE/video.html
AHHH IM FROM AND LIVE IN OCALA I literally know exactly where everything in this video is😂
+Sunday Lloyd SUNDAY HEY ITS MEH TIANA FROM LAST YEER
Yeah, i live here to and sadly it us pretty boring... although... i do love some of those tast-t-o donuts though. They are some of the best (around here anyways)
+John the fanboy Ew, I put though twice
Same Downtown Ocala is where I get all my peircings in Fat Katz
lucky, I wanna visit so bad
Im from Ocala and this video makes me want to cry everytime I see it. You guys are amazing. Love to see bands that never loose sight of where there from.
A Day To Remember always makes a song wich is melodic, positive, uplifting, energetic, and wich kicks you right in the gut. Makes you want to get up, and gives you an energy boost. I don't know much other bands from the last years wich can do that. But they always come correct!
Once you visit, it's hard to imagine central FL is a real place.
Youve come so far ive been there since the day For Those Who Have Heart was released and ive only seen you conquer every milestone since then. Ill never forget being the only kid in my junior high who knew who you were and having all your songs on my myspace, and ill never forget when Homesick was the most anticipated album of the year and knowing that this band was more than special for just me, it was magic for everyone who listened to it.
Who cares
Neeed heaalinnggg
2010: "I hate this town, it's so washed up..."
2013: "Wooooooah, this is where I'm came froooom..."
lmao
Lol but those are about two different towns
Lauderdale is completely different from Ocala lol
I was always under the impression that the title was saying they were going to ft Lauderdale from ocala to try and make it but idk lol 🤷♂️
草
First ever concert was ADTR at The Capital. Brings back so many memories!
Lived in Ocala since 2007. Originally from Michigan!

I'm from yulee (another tiny town in North Fla) and the best times I had in hs was getting people together to go to Ocala and see the local shows. It sucks seeing all the old "venues" turned into something else, makes me wonder what the next generation of bands are gonna have to go through. I know how hard it is just to make a house show happen in north Florida.
I'm not even from Ocala, but we recently moved to Florida and left friends, family and loved ones back in a small, boring town in Kentucky. I was born and raised there for 20 years. This song makes me homesick and gives me massive feels. No matter how happy I am any where else in the world, that place will always be....home.
Choking back tears while typing this is on another level.
points at mom "THIS IS WHERE I CAME FROM"
+Djohn Mema Oh god xD
+Djohn Mema 1st time when i read - "wut?" 2nd time - "hahahah wtf i get it XD"
+Djohn Mema XD
Because mom and dad were Right Back At It Again
That awkward moment when I saw them filming in the square & didn't realize it was them 😂
omfg really? XD
Smh
Good job bitch
How do u not recognize them in such a small town ? Hard to believe haha
sheesh. i thought i was the only one. i walked out of downtown billiards and saw them across the street. i didnt care to get closer to see who it was. face palm
I love how much heart you guys have in your music. Reminds me of the good old days.
Ya shit like the movie life, getup kids, fair weather , you can tell they're having fun.
I just passed through Ocala today from WV, and it reminded me of home with less mountains. Being a musician I can relate to the small town complex. Always remember your roots.
This video and song just has that nostalgic sound and reminds me of the memories i never had
epic.
BersGamer ~ PVP, PARKOUR , FNAF & RANDOM GAMES Bers esta aquí :OOOOOOOOOO TE HAMO BERS
Una canción geniial♡
Demasiado ^^
Eres mi gamer favorito porque ningún YT de minecraft escucha algo así xD
Yo vivo allí y que mi CZcamsr favorito lo comente, ¡¡shock!!
If this was ADTR's last album (it is on my head canon) it would be the best send off ever
"This is where i grew up. In 2007, the house burned down."
That's sad. :(
This song makes me almost cry, i don't know, it's so nostalgic, does anyone feel the same?
hell yes brother
i am just listening to this while preparing to go back to Puerto Rico for vacation after moving out to the States a year ago. Yup.
yep, this is my hometown where i was born and raised so i extremely feel it. hopefully i can visit florida soon.
@@Phillydreaming born and raised in Florida for so far in my life
Easily my favorite A Day To Remember music video. I'm from Ocala and could point out every place. It's an amazing feeling to know that such great success could come out of this town and give people from here a lot of hope into making their dreams come true.
Who else had to constantly stop the video to read the signs?? Hahaha!!
LOVE THE VIDEO!!
This is literally where I came from.
My family is from Ocala, my sister went to school with these guys, I lived and worked here for years... every day I couldn't believe my favorite band was from there. It gave me a nice sense of well-being.
Still here in 2022
This is where I came from!!!!! You feel that
This song, and video gives me chills.. Couldn't be anymore incredible, a great home type anthem I think.
Man, I remember buying this album on the day it dropped! I went to my local Laguna hills Best Buy and bought the cd and blasted it out of that parking lot, with that beautiful guitar and “fuck ya!” Intro had me instantly hooked to the album. And here I am, I’m right back at it again, just like you always said
Damn right. The secret to success: NEVER FORGET WHERE YOU CAME FROM
Having grown up in Ocala this video makes me incredibly emotional. I moved to Tampa about 10 years ago, but Ocala will always be home. I've never listened to A Day to Remember before, but huuuuge props on the video. So awesome seeing places I remember from growing up.
I moved away too. I feel the same about Ocala.
Notning better than seeing all their friends and family at the table relaxing and talking. That's some goal shit right there.
I cry everytime I see this video and hear this song. You never forget the people, your family, your environment, the place where you were born and raised, just as you say "This is where I came from". I feel this is one of the most honest bands in history, they stay true to their nature, their essence, who they are, they can say anything but it's clear in every song what they believe. They can change their style, could go all the way to play trap or anything else, but they'll always be A Day To Remember, you can feel it, not just in the voice. I love this band and I love the guy who introduced me to them, Sebastian, who showed me "Have Faith in Me" and blew me away with this music.
Who else paused the video each time they held up a new sign lol #slowreader
yep
your not the only one
Same xD
me
me lol
Absolutely love this song. It makes me miss my small town.
Ocala is calling, and you know it's haunting
Still as powerful as in 2009.
+mei Umm, this song came out in 2013...
I mean all their songs, not this one.
mei Only a little over half their discography was out in 2009 though.
Still dont get it, I'm just saying that they are still as good as they were.
mei Ah yeah i get it now, I think ADTR has actually gotten better over the years from a technical aspect, but I really like a lot of their older stuff.
no matter where you come from , you can feel this song
im from ocala accutly did you know every time adtr comes home they do a free concert in town
This is arguably one of the most beautiful videos I have ever seen. Thank you guys for your music, and for not giving up.
Most paused video on CZcams!
Dirty Little Secret is a close contender.
Where R U Now is probably close
I WANNA CRY. I love this so much!! What a great video! I'm an Ocala girl living in Nashville, living the dream and pursuing a career as a songwriter. This video brings me right back to "Where I Came From". Thank you for doing this!
Not only did you guys release a music video on my birthday but it's my favorite one yet. I'm so proud of how far you guys have come, I fucking love you guys.
Happy birthday dude! Mine was exactly one week ago :p
Happy birthday man!
rowinwan1 mine was too :)
Happy late birthday bro!
Mine too :D
where's all my fellow ocalans? ^.^
Not quite Ocala but I'm north of Orlando in Sanford. Hope that counts a little lol.
+Jordan Scarano haha not quite but hello anyways :p
+Ashley Brown 😊
close...I live In Deland, and visit ocala a lot
+Cam Kornacki cool! :)
The most down to earth band i know. Long live ADTR!
a year ago today THIS IS WHERE I CAME FROM
Nostalgia can really hurt like a b!tch sometimes…
You lost me at "Battlefield Earth was tight!"...
Bvnkerwelt That was probably a joke. hahaha
Its a inside joke with ocala resident's.
Because you know Scientology xD.
I agree
Bvnkerwelt in the background there is a sign
"ever seen wild hogs?" that may have something to do with it
2019...., i still hear ADTR, who else?
I love this so much, it makes me want to visit there. It looks like home to me
It's so boring
+Boo Boston maybe to you, but others may disagree
No really it's not called Slowcala for nothing. Everything is closed by 9pm except the movie theater which still closes at like 11 unless there's a midnight premier of something big.
I lived there its okay, Has a con now which is cool.
Tyler Lovell Really to most people that'd sound small, but you haven't seen my town yet 😂
THIS IS THE FUCKING SWEETEST THING A BAND CAN EVER DO...... HOLY SHIT YOU GUYS RESTORE MY FAITH IN PEOPLE WHO HIT IT BIG WORLD WIDE... TO REMEMBER WHERE YOU COME FROM AND DEDICATE YOUR ART TO IT AND GIVE US FANS THE CHANCE TO GET TO KNOW YOU A LITTLE BETTER THROUGH IT.... WOW... IM NOT EVEN AMERICAN AND I FEEL SO PROUD.... IM PROUD OF BEING YOUR FAN.... YOU ARE SOME SERIOUS ROLE MODELS....THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THIS..... FOR REAL
One day I will see something set in Florida that doesn't have oranges featured in it.
Doubt it
seminole county.
Charlie Chitty Dude that orange stand is literally the thing I ALWAYS think about when I think of home (Ocala). It's been there my whole life. (Well, since I was 4... I'm 22 now.)
Stay true to your roots, looks like you already are!
I come from a random shithole in Poland, Europe, about 5000 miles away from Ocala, but I moved to another town to start a new life and I know what y'all feel guys..
THUMBS UP if this is your favorite SONG off the album, now also your favorite music video by them.
Rom Com This isn't violence :)
Ivan I love you
AM I THE ONLY ONE WHO FEEL EMOTIONAL WHILE LISTENING TO THIS SONG
You're not alone bruh

+Rashotcake i caught it too

Para mim, Common courtesy e What separates me from you são os melhores álbuns deles
+Raah Só pra vc msm.
+Raah Pra mim tbm
prefiro homesick depois what separates me from you
Love the song, love the video, get the real feel of local America from it - thanks to my son for showing me this great track & video.
When you live in a neighborhood down the street from the square. Lmao. Gotta love the historic district
City of Ocala is a good song a day to remember is my favorite band
Amazing video. Amazing song. All of Common Courtesy is fucking amazing. Now a video for 'Sometimes You're The Hammer' would be fantastic
So this is where that one middle finger came from :D lol
Lmfao, this comment needs more likes
Here's a middle finger straight from OCALA!
This is one of the most meaningful music videos ever. I really loved to see where they came from and it has made an impact on me thank you ADTR
Love Ocala, I live an hour and a half from there in Jacksonville. Every time I've passed through this town on the way to Tampa over the years, I've always blasted this song!
Is it just me or do all ADTR video's have MXPX stuff in them?!
I have understood that for Jeremy, MxPx is one of their favorite bands since I was a teenager .. in fact has a vinyl at home of MxPx ;D
Ella Hamada but.. ADTR is only 12 years old...'03-'15
+Rikkerd Monday MXPX is great band!
I'm guessing they don't hate this town because it's so washed up anymore
AYYYYYYE LMAO
pretty sure all signs point to lauderdale was not about ocala
Tim Armata I think it was about ocala. Meaning they were leaving it and headed to ft. lauderdale
DannieGurl1995 bukakki
DannieGurl1995 It wasn't, the story behind the title for All Signs Point To Lauderdale is that Jeremy and Josh went to like a party I think and they were walking around and Jeremy noticed that all the signs pointed to Ft. Lauderdale so that's how he named the song
The most beautiful thing was watching A Day To Remember go from hating where they came from to loving where they came from.
This song just gives so much meaning to where they come from. I mean it goes for everyone, like the place you come from makes you who you are. They really have a way of kicking you off your feet.
If only i was good at writing like they are.
Wait I didn't catch that where is he from again?
Alaska
Agartha
It's in the song name
And in Florida
+Trey Lott Ah okay Middle earth got it.
That "Right Back At It Again" Cross-Reference...
As well as "Have Faith In Me" and "Downfall Of Us All"
I was born and raised in Ocala. Moved for college(CFCC was not for me lol..CFC now but w/e). OMG this makes me miss it SO much. My family is all still in Ocala and I love going there and visiting. I remember as a kid I couldnt wait to leave. Now I just want to go back home. No matter where I am, thats home.
No way....lived there 35 yrs still call Ocala where aim really from. This is so very cool. Been gone for 5 yrs and miss it so much 😭
Cool video. Too bad I couldn't read fast enough...
You could have paused it. It's what I did, helps that you're watching it on CZcams as well! :P
If you're on pc, you can change the speed of the video and slow it down
***** depends if your pc is good enough. my gaming pc can do it just fine but my laptop won't work for shit if you even think about going down to 0.5.
go to their facebook page. they posted all the signs on there. lol
***** pause the video?
Mexico City... This is where I came from
Really hit home for me, I grew up about 2 hours from here in a town much smaller than this. I'm gonna miss this place
I'm from Florida and recently very very recently was moved against my will over night you guys give me strength to pull through I miss my home but with your music I feel closer to home thanks guys Ocala is awesome your story is awesome and I appreciate you guys and wish you all the best
This was uploaded on my birthday fuck yea brooooo
+Noah Mcrobert damn, I like you duuude
I completely forgot the song was playing and just looking at the video
I fucking love Ocala, my parents used to take me to my uncle's ranch all the time, those long road trips were the best. However, my favorite part was just standing outside at night and actually being able to see the stars, unlike here in Miami. I miss Ocala so much ;-;
This song speaks to me on so many levels because I was born and raised in Ocala, FL. I just recently moved away on my 21st birthday to venture out into the world, but this little town will forever hold my heart, and I'll return home someday ❤️
Sarah Perkins it is the ocala curse, everyone always returns lol
Only go back to visit 😂 Don't move back to that damn town girl LOL
Despite all the people saying how much Ocala sucks on here, I'm pretty torn about the fact that I'm moving away after I graduate college this year. I find myself always comparing other places to Ocala, and nowhere else ever seems right. It's a part of Florida most people have no idea exists, and are always shocked to learn it's not all beaches and old people. With half the county taken taken up by the forest, and the other half by horse farms, it's a pretty damn good place for me. Then again, the city life doesn't appeal to me.
It is driving me crazy that they never reference what high school they went to. I get a strong Forest vibe from them.
I left and came back. It's home and always be.
Eric Reinholt they went to north marion
