LYRICS
At a certain speed on the interstate
Everything looks the same
The blurry green helps me meditate
When everything’s always changing
I’m doin buck 20 on I-75
75
75
Just to see if I’m dead or alive
Dead or alive
Dead or alive
Cause I know I got you
An you know you got me
We got everything we need
We got everything we need
I took a right down the boulevard
To see where we use to hang
It’s worn down like the rest of us
But that’s a quick coat a paint
I’m doin buck 20 on I-75
75
75
Just to see if I’m dead or alive
Dead or alive
Dead or alive
Cause I know I got you
An you know you got me
We got everything we need
We got everything we need
When my minds racin
Ya I just need some 4 wheel isolation
Cause lord knows I can’t afford that vacation
And you can’t see the skyline from the basement
Ya you always remind me
Ya you always remind me
I know I got you
An you know you got me
We got everything we need
We got everything we need

Okay that ending was wholesome and definitely the energy we need in 2021.
Yea we energry and save 2021
Seriously that was the ending everyone needed to see. So wholesome and pure. And his daughter reacting the way she did to him was amazing. I love this band. I love the new album they put out despite what some people say. They are original and one of a kind. ✊🏻 Thank you ADTR for giving the real ones something new to hear!!! Fucking amazing. ❤️
I had the exact same thought. I'm loving this new album. I love the sound they are coming with, and I'm glad to see them doing what they love.
I literally just said "beautiful"
No it wasn't shut your mouth
At first I thought like everyone else they went soft but listening to the lyrics and realizing where we are at in our lives, mine especially. Older. Kids. Family. Life is good. We do have everything we need. Love this album. Keep rockin boys
90% of ADTR fanbase nowadays is grown up people who grew up listening to ADTR's heaviest songs and used to go every single concert they made in our cities. And now we're here with our jobs, houses, some even have kids... and still rocking with ADTR!!
I was just thinking the same thing, probably in their 30’s
@@tysonthomas6029 27 in my case, 28 in 2 months :p hope to see them again soon
EXACTLY! How it should be 🤘🏻💯
Shit I’m 26 now it’s been a long road with ADTR. I remember when for those who have heart came out like it was yesterday
32 here with 2 kids. 🤟😎
2010: All I Want
2021: Everything We Need
This says it all.
isn't that what Jeremy's wearing in All I Want as well?
Another version of Wonderwall

It’s crazy to think when I was a kid I would sit in my room at my parents house listening to you guys for hours, helping me through what I thought were problems at the time. Now 10 or more years later this song comes through on my recommended videos, on one of the crappiest days I’ve had in a long time. I was ready to throw in the towel on my small business I’ve worked so hard to make. Being a father, having a family and a home, being a business owner. It all just takes a toll on me and today was that kind of day it was almost too much. Who knows if you guys will ever see this but I just wanted to say thank you. My music tastes and genres have changed a little over the years, but it seems like you guys always have something that fits me when the time is right.
Keep pushin Travis. You got this brother.
Keep pushing. Remember, strength isn’t measured by muscle or build; but persistence of spirit, desire, and will. You got this!
However hard it is, keep fighting for whats yours
Stay the course! Tenacity is what makes you successful. You can do it!
Its truly amazing how the right song finds the right person at the right time.
I'm a single mom raising 2 teenagers and this song is an excellent reminder to them that we may not have everything but we really have everything we need. It's hard most days because social media has them comparing what they have to what others have.
only if you give them enough love for two will they have everything they need. this song isnt for them. they have a hard life ahead of them.
exactly my point. my wife of 7rs broke up with me 7 months back. i may not have her love no more, but i still got my kids love n that is somethin that never taken away from me.
As someone that grew up in Florida most of my 36 years of living, it's cool to see a band from here constantly evolving.
As a father of 3, I absolutely melt at the ending because it tops off the whole meaning of the song. Family should be at the top of your priorities. Not politics, social media, etc.
You are so right.
Very true, I’ve got three kids and am married to the most wonderful and annoying man.
Well said 🤘🏽
Wish I still had my family
Father of two and I agree completely. Family over everything. As long as you got your kids and family theirs nothing else that’s more important
I remember going through some of the hardest times in my life listening to this band. From lonely and homeless to happily married with two kids. It all kinda comes full circle. From homesick to finally home. I can’t help but fall apart at the ending.
That sounds wonderful dude!
@@juliusjacob1416 thanks dude ! just a reply is awesome !!!
oh man.. big boy tears here. ive followed this band, this man for over a decade now. and to see the ending, him coming back home to his wife and daughter to relax and play for them was just so beautiful to see! ive got 2 girls of my own and play to them as well. maybe thats why it hit a little close to home
This is gonna be my wedding dance song on Saturday 😁
This is our wedding song too❤
Mine too!! ❤
Love that Jon Bellion had a hand in helping write this song.
@TeeHomas yeah, I read it in a Kerrang! article I believe. But Bellion is one of my favorite song writers. And you can hear his influence in this in my opinion. Still not a huge fan of the new record as a whole though 😪
Oh shit I hella forgot about that hahaha honestly I can’t really hear it too much but that’s sick, I saw him two years ago in SF AND I SANG FOR HIM IN THE VIP SO I WOULD KNOW WHAT HE SOUNDS LIKE but I can’t hear it that much on this song nope nope. Maybe a little but not mucho.

Man, as someone who grew up with Jeremy McKinnon as a teenager, I feel like I GREW UP with Jeremy Mckinnon as an adult. In my late 20s now, and seeing/hearing this just lets me know that I'm not alone.
Had this song in my wedding 2 weeks after it came out.. played right before the wedding March as i walked my mom and grandma in (very small wedding because of covid) got to have my favorite band be part of the best day of my life. Thanks for this song, and the whole album guys. I love it!
I won't lie, I'm a little jealous that Jeremy, who's only a year older than me still has a full head of hair.
And a full connected beard
Haha, but look at that beautiful boy you got,and most likely a beautiful wife that loves you just like you are, cheers man, many blessings to you and your family
@@aliaulman ha haaaa, that just went so well with the comment lol
Commenting again because the ending just made me cry. I am so happy for him and his family
Everyone saying how this song touches theirs hearts at a older age having kids, family and are complete.
ME: 👁👄👁 same age a millennial, single and no kids still lost in life. Wishing for a decent guy. Y’all are so lucky. Dating now is nonexistent. Can’t wait to relate.
hang in there girl, you'll find your one.. now raising kids... swear its so weird in these times
You’ll eventually find them. They’re out there somewhere waiting for you to walk into their life
I got a kid and family but I’m not complete. This song makes me feel better there. Hopefully I find a step mom for my son and forever home. It’s not a race tho. Taking life as it comes. Try the dating scene once your a single parent, that is really non existent
Trust me when I say .marriage isn't what it's cracked up to be I'm going through a nasty divorce and custody battle right now. But trust me when I say stop serching and the right one will find you

My favorite song off of this album, and even more wholesome to feel like he’s not only singing it to his wife and daughter, but to us, as his fans. 🥰
Yo the dude who started it all .. MUCH Heart brother .. I starting listening to you guys when I was 16 now I'm 30
I could barley type honestly so proud of you guys
Same here🤘
Just had our first daughter last year after a struggle and feel like this song could have been written for me. Appreciating what I have in my life and making the most of it all. Have always been a fan of you guys and I like the variation in your songs.
I’ve always said there’s an ADTR song for every point in my life. You guys have gotten me through a lot of both good and bad times. The crazy thing is I feel like the music has grown with me and this album’s been no different in that aspect. This song in particular though... man. As someone who works out of town this one and the video hits really close to home. Nothing beats that feeling when I walk through that door and my little boy runs up to me and I get to hold him and my wife again. Makes the bad days worth it and this song takes me home to them every time I hear it.
Jeremy's daughter is so gorgeous, i'm so proud of you'all guys...this band got me threw when i was at my lowest part of my life.

Your music has come full circle with this song for me and my fiancé. We met on MySpace in 2002 when I was 19 and he was 23. He was in Seattle, I was in Tulsa but he had roots in Oklahoma. We talked on and off through the years but always had a deep connection. No matter how long it had been between conversations, we picked up right where we left off but we could just never seem to get the timing right. When it was released in 2009, we knew our song was 'If It Means A Lot To You'. The lyrics seemed to fit our situation perfectly and it gave us hope that one day, everything would work itself out and we would be together. 18 years later and one VERY LONG road trip from Seattle to Tulsa in a UHaul, we are finally together and we couldn't be happier. 'Everything We Need' really hits home and makes me feel so thankful that neither of us ever gave up on each other. At 36 and 40, we have each other. And that is definitely everything we need. Thank you for being a special part of us.
Myspace goes crazy
I never have listened and followed them from the beginning. However I found them out when they were rising back in 2014 as I started my Uni life. Their songs bring back those memories as I am now living my day to day work life. Still listen their songs from time to time to keep myself motivated. Also just by looking at them growing up and starting a family just gives me the inspiration to set a goal for myself and a future family.
0:18 “so much for my happy ending” hear that song every time. But this song is amazing
RIGHT ty, I thought I was the only one haha
I was wondering why that intro sounded so familiar 😆
Same! I almost skip it on pandora every time thinking that’s what it is at first 🤣
*when Jeremy sits down with his guitar*
"Anyway, here's Wonderwall..."
Lol same same
ironically the chords are very similar to wonderwall too
I laughed so hard at the end when i noticed he played the cords from wonderwall but in different rhythm to make this song thats epic
HA!
It's not just me then 😂
Real music should make you laugh, make you cry, or make you think. Not only does this song do all of those things but ADTR has always been able to make music that does this. To everyone that's grown up together with this band, I hope you're well.

It's beautiful to see how a band can be so versatile. They will always be my favorite band
I was just 16 when I discovered ADTR, going through all the hormone-fueled emotional strife that teenagers go through. I'm 27 now(still single 😄) and still as hooked on this band as I was 11 years ago. Just saw them live for my fifth time this year. Wherever life takes me, their music is always there to remind me that there are things in life worth fighting for.
I am with this band since 2008. They helped me when my dad died in 2013 and when my brother died 2017. Thank you guys so much for your music. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you. You were with me when no one else was. In the dark and bright times.
A lot of love from germany.
and a warm hug to everyone who feels the same.
So sorry for your losses.😞 Also my mother died in 2011, my brother died in 2019! This amazing band also helped me a lot too in dark times. This song also made me cry and reminded me beautiful memories with them! 🙏😔

Jeremy, absolutely beautiful. gave me Have Faith in Me vibes and the ending made me feel the feels. Absolutely beautiful. You didn’t know this many years ago but you had faith in yourself & you got… you got you. Well freaking done. So beautifully done.
I'm not a very emotional guy man. But I listened to these guys through my teenaged years too and they got me through some bein a troubled foster kid and helped alot in my 20s even. Drifted around for a long time. Now Here I am 31 with my 3rd kid on the way and my life is pretty close to perfect at the moment and this song hit home perfectly

Been a adtr fan since 2009. This song hits different being older and being a father now. Oct 5 22 my wife and i had our lives turned upside down. A City trash truck ran through our house and destroyed everything in its path. That night rummaging through what was left. My 4 yr old asked his mommy and I. To play his song. This song. And we listened and sang together. And it was so true. We have each other. Everything else can be replaced. We have everything we need.

Everyone bashing the album: we’re all grown up now folks. It’s not 2009 anymore. Just like we’ve matured and changed, so has the band. Appreciate what we have regardless. Much love ADTR
Nicely said! Totally agree! I love this song!
It's true bands change and eventually they grow up I enjoy album from beginning to the end
Yup and another band I used to like did this too. Their last album failed completely because they sold an album that didn't represent the band or what the fans wanted. They sold out. It failed. And the lead singer is now dead. If you figured it out. I was referencing Linkin park.
If you want to change the sound and the feel of a band this much. Just stsrt a new one. Using the fan base you made to sell this junk. Is how you kill your band. Fans have resentment
Couldn't agree more. We've grown up with these bands and they've grown with us.
@@zacheriashelm I loved that last LP album as well, fans should grown with the band not want the band to be stuck in the past with their past sound otherwise their just treading water. If a fan has resentment thats on them not the band.

True masterpiece yet again.
Ya know, I may not have been a big fan of that album, but I love you jeremy. I wish you luck, love, and happiness.
I'm wondering what ADTR is trying to tell us with all of these songs about how money isn't everything on the first album they release since signing with FBR. Hmm
my thoughts exactly!
They got money. They got a fatass settlement from the lawsuit with Victory Records so thats probably where it comes from. They got the money but it was having a family that really made their lives feel fullfilled
@@littlea081396 my comment was a nod to the fact that many fans were afraid ADTR sold out when they signed with FBR. The shift to a softer and more electronic - or "mainstream" - sound only stoked those fears. I was pointing out the irony that half the songs on the album they (allegedly) sold out on are about how money is bad.

Nobel peace prize is for war criminals. These people are more deserving than that.
Lived for 11 years in North Florida while most of my family and friends still lived in South Florida. I made that drive down the 75 S/ turnpike so many times, I'd recognize it anywhere. That "doing buck 20 on I-75 just to see if I'm dead or alive" hits so different. My 20's in a nutshell. Living through some of the hardest times and racing home to see my mom and dad just to feel some semblance of comfort, being so happy to see them but feeling like my childhood home was never the same after I left, then being crushed when my parents sold it. Driving around my old town. It's like ADTR ripped this straight out of my life. It's hard to describe the emotions I get from listening to this; nostaglia, happiness, sadness, all mixed together.
I always drive around my old neighborhood too. Growing up sucks. I would give anything to go back to just skating with my friends with no cares in the world.
my sister used to listen ADTR when i was like 11, since then i started to listen this band idk how haha, now im 20, and they come to lollapalooza in Chile, i didn't waste the opportunity to go, i was in the front row, i sang and scream with all my might, now i'm here watching videos because i can't get over them, and crying because most of you in the comments are 30years old and everyone in adtr has a family, time goes so fucking fast. Thanks adtr for saving me from so many falls.

Thank God these comments are positive. So sick of all the rude hate for them and the album the last 5 days.
That’s what I’m saying
You can be a fan and hate their album. And quite frankly, yes when you drag your fans on for over a year and a half and out put a massively generic change in style pop album it’s well deserved.
@@charliespaz-way4073 who cares now shut up :)
Look, no ones going to tell you what you should and shouldn’t like, but there are people who are understandably frustrated over this album. It’s a totally far cry from their past work and understandingly feels like it’s catering to another audience. Tbh, I like maybe 3 songs from this record and I wouldn’t even put them in my top 20 ADTR songs. If you like it that’s fine, but not everyone has to.
@@charliespaz-way4073 i agree that you can be a fan and hate it but a simple "I didn't care for it" or "not for me" gets the point across way better than "fuck you guys, wheres the fucking breakdowns" it's the rudeness for me 🤷♀️

This would be a good first dance at a wedding for the newlyweds.
Definitely playing this at my future wedding or even prom next year
100%
I’m literally looking for first dance songs right now and I was thinking about this one 🥺
I’m getting married in about a month
Im getting married in April 2023 and this is our first dance song.
WHEN DID MONTANA GET THAT BIG?? OMG I thought she was still a baby! So happy for Jeremy!
i literally burst into tears at the end. I may not be abe to relate band/tour wise.but as a single dad of the last 3 years it made me truly feel how amazingly blessed i am to have her. all the time working to make it all work by any means necessary. Thank you guys once again
My bothers band played “Monument” in one of their first concerts and that was the first time I heard of ADTR. I quickly bought an album and not realizing I had just found one of my top 3 favorite bands. I’ve gone out and bought a CD copy of every album and would rock out in my truck as a sanctuary to my inner self. Their music got me through times with friends, depressions, anger/frustration, heartbreaks, loneliness, and some times just to pass the time. People will hate this album, but the real fans that grew up along with the band will be thankful. Perfect name for this album and keep playing ADTR.
chorei nesse final... família é a coisa mais preciosa...
I can’t wait to sing this at a concert hopefully soon.....
Need to know where Jeremy gets his flannel, I swear I can smell the campfire from here 🔥
Hopefully it's not Johnny Cupcakes 🤣 they'd be like 80 bucks a piece then lol
Increíble con solo escuchar el inicio me encantó directo a mi playlist alfin algo nuevo
Any chance there will be an "unplugged" version of this? Like the end. Just Jeremy and an acoustic
We actually just did one for a radio station, so I’m sure that’ll be available soon.
@@adaytoremember Absolutely hyped! Thanks
First off, I'm in love with this song. Second, those "Ah-ahhs" at the start...tell me that doesn't make you think of Avril Lavigne's Happy Ending.
Now that’s what I call wholesome 🖤
My two daughters love this song from the moment we all heard it on the Radio here in Carrollton Georgia. I don't care what haters in the comments say everyone's opinion is their own. But being able to connect to your children through an amazing band that I've loved and followed from the start. Thank you A.D.T.R. and family I wish you all the success you guys deserve. 💚
Still getting me through the good and bad days 15+ years later. You guys bring me back to high school summers running around with friends, first loves, bad breakups, care free adventures and crying in my room. Now I’m 30, a mom with two girls, a whole ass job, house and life. Now I listen while taking my kids to school, painting in the studio, cleaning and going on solo drives. Thanks for being such a wonderful part of my life. The nostalgia is great but I’m happy I get to still listen and bring in new memories with all your music!
Brings a new meaning to mom I'll try to write you some soft songs! What a master piece!
In the whole world, what was the best crowd ever talking about singing every song louder during the entire concert?
metallica nimes crowd
Linkin Park Milan crowd
What's the meaning/inspiration behind the song? Love it btw
Being thankful for what you do have even if things haven’t worked out the way you planned.
I didn't expect this band to release a song like this, it's so warm and comforting. It reminds me of a country song *definitely* what I needed today.
