- Westside Gunn. Probably one of the most interesting and unique figures we have in rap today. From the concrete grew a rose and that rose in Westside Gunn. The diamond in the rough. Music is very much art but when you analyze the beauty of Westside’s music it’s just unparalleled and his recent album Hitler Wears Hermes 8 is a true testament to that. Others just make music to just make music but his music sounds like it belongs in museums and that’s by no exaggeration. It’s street and gritty but yet so luxurious.
Corrections: I was going off of the credits on Genius but the song "hitler musik" is actually produced by The Alchemist and "suedemutumbos" was produced by RZA.

I been a hip hop fiend since 94......growing up in Inglewood California.... all my greatest influences was the east lyrics...and the west coast gangsta 💯‼️ I deep into this thing ours and let me tell you....Your doing a excellent job of giving us raw material on classic music and groups that we grew up on💯‼️ I keep telling ppl Bennythebutcher is the best right now....Conway is on that same level.....but....Westside gunn is my favorite from griselda no doubt💯‼️ His style is unmatched and his albums are Legendary 💯‼️👑

I figured out westside from Westside DOOM, I loved DOOM and listened everything with him in it . 2 years later I decided to listen to griselda starting with FLYGOD and Hitler Wears Hermes 1,I thought "Fuck this guy is fuckin sick" and fell in love with griselda

I think once I heard Elizabeth from Supreme Blientele, I was getting hooked on Westside Gunn. The concepts, the lyrics, the beats, the wrestling skits and promos. It was a combo of what I’ve been looking for. I hate that his wrestling parts on songs don’t exist now because of Vince McMahon, but his music is still consistently great. Can’t wait for the day I can see Westside Gunn in concert.

'Allah Sent me' is by far one of hip hops most prolific hooks. 327 helped reframe Tyler's image as a rapper for anyone who wasn't a fan. His use of Stove God is unparalleled and after him everyone wanted Stove to fully swing into that vein of hip hop. He's something different. But also West and Conway aren't related. Conway just grew up around him Chinegun and Benny.

its crazy how time flies... i mean i discovered grisleda back in 2016's Spring... i was actually listening to some roc marci on my phone untill rex ryan came up... bought devils reject 2 , fly god and don't get scared now (that's when i heard my fav rapper for the first time. Mach Hommy) its been a wrap ever since i still cant believe its been 6 years the amount of work these dudes put out feels like 15 years tbh they are unmatched and i do believe they will remain relevant in hip-hop for over 50 years... props to the whole team grisleda for ever! and quick add up, I do think flygod was last decade's ''illmatic''

I have mad stories about Buffalo. Westside and Griselda is what drives Cemtral and Western NY I'm glad to be alive while they are free and putting the heat out ❤

You should do “The Story Behind ICE CUBE: DEATH CERTIFICATE”. Everyone went after him including gay rights groups, the NAACP, The JDL, and the Korean grocers association stopped carrying St Ides (causing him to lose his sponsorship). The book “Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop” has a whole chapter that goes way in depth. Ice Cube felt like he was putting HIS career on the line while none of the other entertainers stood by him, that’s why his later albums were not as controversial.
