Full Netherite Armor Speedrun World Record [

- In todays video I got a new World Record Speedrun for getting a full netherite armor in just over 18 minutes. All of this happened on a random seed in the minecraft version 1.20. I tried playing this category for over two months to try and beat my previous world record and finally I got a Sub 20 minute time. With a lot of bastion luck you can even get an even crazier time than this, especially if you switch versions to anything other than 1.20, which includes bastions. That way you will have an even better reset efficiency. I just really wanted to do this challenge in 1.20, because smithing templates got added in this version and you need them to upgrade your diamond into a netherite armor!

1. Having to just PB to get a WR is insane, congrats

And gl with beating it, I personally think there is still room for improvement, but resetting in 1.20 is pretty inefficient so it might take a while ... unless you get like a double treasure bastion with both having a double chest in the treasure room with full diamond and 4 ingots :D

Can you explain how you are locating bastions with that FOV trick? 9:18, 13:34
I want to try it myself.
You go into 30 fov and spin around and while doing that you have to check ur entity count. The first number will show you the entities in the direction ur looking at and the second number will tell you the total entity count within ur render distance. So if you want to look for bastions use whatever render distance but make sure to set ur entity distance to 500%, otherwise you wont see bastions that are further away. Then you just have to check the first entity count and if that spikes up to 30-60, then there is most likely a bastion in that direction. (Sometimes you get a fake spike from gravel falling down, striders in lava pools or similar things)

Sorry for a likely dumb question, but why mess with the FOV settings when you first enter the nether?
I'm scanning the nether for bastions. If there is a spike of entities in a direction, that means there is a bastion!

Chests are always at the same spots. Depending on the bastion, there are also spots where you have certain odds of finding the chest. You just have to learn all these places, it isn't hard to do at all.

If you hit the boat with your axe instead of your fist it will break much faster, that way you will get it back immediately 😄

I have no idea what fire you mean in the first question.
And this is completely normal mob behavior, the piglin brutes "suicide" because that's how all mobs that aggro on you would try to find a path to attack you. You can test that out in a singleplayer world yourself, for example if you stand on the edge at the top of a bastion where the chests are and tower up 2 or 3 blocks, so the brutes can't hit you and if you sneak backwards, you will see them jumping of to the side of the bastion or running towards the bottom.

Can someone PLEASE explain what hes doing switching to 30FOV?? I assume so he can see further easier but is there some tactic Im missing?
As long as I know he's watching a statistic in the F3 panel that counts the number of entities in the direction he's looking at. This way he's able to know where is a bastion remnant.

when i was playing 1.20 my e counter is like 18/200
i know there is a bastion but it doesn’t work correctly there is no spike anywhere

Try raising your entity distance in settings, that might work

What does the 30 fov scan thing do
That way I can see where bastions are, if you have entity distance on 500% you will see if there is a bastion once the entities spike up to a certain number in whatever direction ur turning into. 30 fov helps to make it more accurate

I'm scanning for bastions in the nether whenever I do that, which is called e-raying. With this strategy you can determine exactly where you have to go to find a bastion. For this you have to check your E counter on the left side of your f3 screen. The first number tells you how many entities are in the direction you're looking at (thats why you want to go for fov 30, so it will only count the entities right in front of you) and the second one tells you the total amount of entities withing ur render & simulation distance. For this strategy to work you have to put your entity distance to 500% and disable entity culling in the settings.
So what I'm doing is basically going into f3 and 30 fow immediately after entering the nether and check first if the total entity count will spike up quickly (by like 30-50) and then spin around to see where the spike is. If that happens and you get an entity spike at around 30-50 while looking at a certain direction, there will most likely be a bastion!
