The first time I watched this I literally busted out laughing in a room full of people. I tried to hold the laughter in but seeing the singer's jawline, the rapid zoom in on everything in the room, and the drummers complete lack of happiness just made me loose it.

Okay, I love Scar Symmetry, they're like my second favorite band ever, but I can't get over how the hard vocals guy looks like a very angry and possibly possessed Meatloaf.

These guys are the same geniuses of their style as Amon Amarth. I'll be 35 in March, and I've been listening to them for really more than 15 years.When I listen to them, I understand that time has not just stopped, but it never existed. I feel like I did 15 or more years ago.

To all the people complaining about the singers:
I don't really understand the hate for them. Yes, I understand that Christian had a much larger range for harsh and clean vocals, but that doesn't mean that these new singers are automatically crap. These new singers give the band a bit of different feel. (The clean singer sounds like he should be in the 80s)
Personally, I like the new singers,but I'll admit that Christian was better. I'm just happy that we still have Scar Symmetry.

No, it takes two people to allow them the touring commitments that Christian couldn't do (due to doing both clean and growled vocals all the time).

I certainly wouldn't be surprised because especially his SS era stuff is extremely difficult for any vocalists: the mix of high belting, growls and falsettos, which I guess SS doesn't even try to perform nowadays when it comes to the hardest of those songs.
But is it really so, not just hear-say? Did they try to tour with Christian and were there some issues with him not being able to deliver on shows?
I dont understand why peeps dont give the new singers credit. Of course Alvestam will always be the superior vocalist, but i still think the new guys are also superb. To be honest, dark matter dimension is a marvelous album, and is not a far departure from when Alvestam was still in the band. I love scar symmetry too much to see it die, so im thankful that the two new vocalists are keeping it alive.

I understand the sentiment, but with Christian at live concerts all we got was either 1) clean vocals or 2) death vocs live, the choice to go for two singers was also very live-aimed I believe, as, that is still what bands do make a living off. I definately enjoyed Scar Symmetry with the Chris, but he has alot of different projects in which the music is equally awesome as the mighty Scar Symmetry.

It's like taking a hammer and hitting yourself in the face and then saying. "man this sucks but I just can't stop" I don't like complainers that's all. If you don't like it don't listen. Regardless of how bad or good you think the new singers are, that guitarist is a fuckin monster, love the solos he pulls off!

The growls take some getting used to, but when you get used to them, it's awesome. Love the instrumental work and the 'clean' singer.

@AMetalOrchestra Yeah man, i wasn't a huge fan of the album to begin with, but the more i listened to it, i realised at the end of the day, they're still Scar Symmetry. Even if they have a different vocalist. They're not quite as good as Christian, but they're still really good vocalists. All the awesome brutal riffs and ridiculous solos are still there. It's only the vocals that have changed, really.

They have two vocalists not to fill the gap but because it's easier when touring - doing harsh and clean vocals in one song is hard for one guy to do (I know, I used to be a vocalist for a band) so they got two people instead. Notice that SS now do so many more gigs than before?
