The amount of nostalgia is unbearable. Takes me back to when i cherished on finding bands like SS,IF,DT and Soilwork back in 2006. All thanx to this vid.

Christian has one of the best vocal ranges that i have ever heard .. from Lethean tears from Soloution .45 to his SS days then to the heavy Dreamdecipher from Miseration
It took two singers to replace this bad ass.

+Pancake Invaders It's sad that people dismiss a band simply because a person left. Who gives a fuck about this guy? He's not in the band anymore. He's not going to be in the band. The last album by Scar Symmetry was the best album they've ever done. It's incredible. It's people like you that think these guys shouldn't have a music career unless they keep the exact same 6 people in the band or whatever.
People need to accept change willingly and ready to end their biases there. It's true that this vocalist was incredible, but not unmatched. Bands realize the fact that in order to improve, they need to change.
The vocalist is the biggest change you can have in a band. Instruments, can be easily replicated. A voice, however; cannot. When a vocalist is completely OUTSTANDING at screaming, AND singing. You've got someone extremely difficult to replace. Have you heard Christians vocal range? Not just in this song, stuff like "Deus ex machina". Or anything he's done vocals for, for that matter. His screams can go incredibly low! Like, slam/grind low. Yet; he can hit insanely high pitches for cleans. Christian is one of the best in metal man, especially melodeath. Whether it be lows, growls, gutturals, or cleans. There are few who could even come close to replacing him. I see where you're coming from though. The only metalcore band I enjoy, Killswitch Engage (not a fan of the genre). Had an extreme change, with the main vocalist and his replacement. (Jesse Leach and Howard Jones) Yet, I love both. I know it can be annoying, I see "So and so is better", in the comments constantly. People just don't want to let go of eminence. Including myself in this case.
I have heard almost every Scar Symmetry song, especially what Christian's been in. I know his vocalist range is absolutely masterful.
Every one of their albums, every one of their songs, all good or amazing.

My dad told me and him would listen and watch this bands music videos when I was a baby, he himself was in a few metal bands when I was a baby and my heartbeat was the openings to one of his songs. I can't believe my whole life I've literally listened to metal.

Having listened to this for nearly 20 years, is this really my first comment?
I couldn't agree more, I think deep down I love a good vocal hook that you can sing along to, I don't understand how people can endlessly listen to growls unless they are really varied. At the end of the day, he has one hell of a voice during the clean vocals, and I can't imagine anyone would dislike it.

Christian Älvestam made a selfmade album named "Self 2.0". He sings most of the time clean, but the album has different genres. I dont know if thats your type, but you can search for the song "once adreamed" on youtube for an song example. :)

man ive just dicovered this group couple min ago and evry songs i listen are just sooo damn nice...seriously they rule, the guitar is amazing, the singing is amazing, the drumming has nothing famous but hes well, and the bass is nice...JUST AMAZING!
