Haven’t had almond cake since before Katrina when I’d buy petit fours at heydels, i get frozen when trying figure out how to start new dishes and this video with its down to earth style and directness broke me out of that.

White almond is my absolute favorite white cake!! I have a cheat recipe that’s awesome that is my go to. But I will definitely try yours. The bakeries here in California are sleeping on the almond cakes.

Made this for Christmas, and it’s every bit as good as it looks. The addition of butter flavor was genius. Cake is perfect. My frosting seemed a good bit thicker than video, so I added more milk, but I was concerned maybe it would end up being too thin so I stopped. There was no way my frosting would have fallen down the sides of the cake. finished product was slightly thicker than I would have liked, but it still had great flavor and texture. Maybe the difference was in climate? Time of year, weather etc. excellent recipe well worth the effort. Thanks for sharing !! Merry Christmas!!
