Circuit Superstars is right up there with Art Of Rally for me, brilliant game with personality that understands it's mission perfectly. I like the look of Karting Superstars, could really turn out to be a fantastic recipe for online play especially
I've already sunk in numerous hours in to the demo and cannot wait for the full release!!!
Bought CS on XSX on day 1 and enjoyed it a lot. Same for the DLC but tbh I was left a bit disappointed with that one. I expected a few more "series" (GP's & a track editor) instead of some limited "time trials & stunts". At first glance, the Karting Superstars could've been more like an add-on than a completely full-fledged game. From what I heard in the interview, there is much more to it and there is a bigger ambition in delivering (probably the reason why I expected more from the DLC). But since the dev is limiting themselves to only bring this to PC (for now), I will sit this one out! Best of luck, though!
Definitely looking forward to buying Karting Superstars. I would have liked Circuit Superstars more if there was an option for 3rd person perspective like KS. But, the devs were adamant that the top-down perspective be kept. If KS had a top-down perspective like CS, I would not be buying it. Food for thought. :)
Bought this yesterday. Was so looking forward to playing it last night but when game started up & down functions wont work in options screens. Tried with my ps5 & xbox controllers but no luck. So at the minute the game is unplayable for me so had to refund. Please fix this bug🤞
I have just bought Karting Superstars in early access and it is fabulous.
I like circuit superstars because of the top down perspective making it unique, but not sure about changing it to a chase cam is a good idea.
Need to fix handling in dirt!
Circuit Superstars was half-baked, that's why it underperformed - Physics were just too easy and it lacked content (if the courses are that simple, you oughta make A LOT of them)... and then they gave up rather than try to amend the problems
Karting Superstars looks like a worse version of the first game with less variety, almost like this should've been game #1 instead of the 2nd one. We've all heard the quote about insanity being trying again without changing the approach, I wonder what people say about trying again with less effort!
