The Cumulative CO2 Emissions by Country Since 1882 (Carbon Dioxide Emission from Gas)

  • The video shows the timelapse of the cumulative CO2 Emissions from gas by country (separated by modern regions) since 1882. Carbon dioxide (CO2) makes up the vast majority of greenhouse gas emissions from the sector, but smaller amounts of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) are also emitted. These gases are released during the combustion of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, to produce electricity.

    Scientists always strive for emission reduction, but so many people don't want to do this. Governments, cooperations, and the people all need to be on this. Emissions have increased SHARPLY since the 50s, and the world is seeing BIGGER disasters and losing some of the cutest and most precious animals as the years go by. Everyone around the world must work together to decrease emissions!

    • @aurexify
      @aurexify Před rokem +6

      We are still emitting because we need to as of now. Unless you want to live without electricity, meat, heat, transport and other things, as of now we can't stop.

      Sure, we could reduce it but we can't entirely stop.

      @@aurexify That is quite true. I wonder about the no-emission/lower-emission alternatives that exist out there for everyday activities.

    • @Bezimienny1598
      @Bezimienny1598 Před rokem +1

      @@aurexify 60% of global greenhouse gas emissions can be eliminated entirely in the span of a few years. Which is exactly what is happening right now, most developed nations have pledged to reduce their emissions by around 30%-68% depending on the nation, with UK leading at a 68% reduction pledge by 2030. The reality now is that it's simply cheaper to be more eco-friendly, renewables have been much cheaper than any fossil fuel for years at this point and governments are starting to notice by increasing renewables subsidies and themselves building new nuclear or renewable power plants. Some countries are building great infrastructure for electric cars and if the rest of the world joins in, we might cut down our emissions by another 20-30%.
      So no, we don't need to be emitting. It's just that countries like the US and Australia where the government is controlled by the monopolistic overlords of the fossil fuel industry, constantly lobbying and putting pressure on politicians to not work against their interests are undermining the work of other, more democratic countries. Thankfully, that is starting to change now.

But..there ARE EXPERTS who could put together an economy based on DEGROWTH principles ...and everyone could have a way of living ..but..it would not look anything like what we do now...however.mi am pretty damn sure this will never happen...because most people still do not understand what is happening to our biosphere ...eenewablwsa will cause an increase in MINING of around 500% ....we have already destroyed so much natural habitat...not just for other animals ..but for ourselves also...ridiculousness m
