A few weeks ago, I went to isha foundation coimbatore, can't describe the fantasy's he showcased on the shiva statue,anyway the technology and the display was awaseome, if these kind of technologies are used to teach scientific stuffs to a large group of people in a gigantic screen it would have been beneficial for the society.

The city I grew up near (in the US) had a few museum-like buildings which had fun ways of seeing science principles. There were things like a indoor cyclone generator, a demonstation of tides, a self-propelled pulley elevator, jacob's ladder, etc. Those were amazing, publically accessible, and made me want to learn science. If you're wanting to show kids why science is cool I think those sorts of places would be a good idea.

have always respected the institution even though i am not a science student, i do know one of the main USP for IISER Pune is their research based approach to the curriculum and they value scientific rigor as much as science itself. And seeing someone like you and acapellascience on that stage felt awesome. You have been one of the best science communicators in this era where internet is the main source for almost all the information you get, for me u and Vimoh are doing absolutely god's work (lol). Also is there any way we can watch your speech online somewhere?

well these thing do help people get into science more but what india really need in my opinion is a desire to learn new things , a desire to inquire things and to know that science is best tool we have to describe the reality to know or get close to the actual truth
HOW TO part of this is doable may be hard for some people may be easy for others but main thing is the WHY part of it . People dont understand the reason of why science is important thats something we need to change first
But these festivals are also a great way to make people familiar with science
For many people science is rather intimidating than fun and these festivals can help lower this thing ❤❤❤❤❤

As my concern is public impact, there I have doubt as we just witnessed huge celebration all over the country on 22nd Jan'24. Shall we keep celebrating/focusing science and religion both equally? or religion much and science less. Or science much and religion less? Or only science and say 'no' to religion? As human is clever, they will never choose another option- only religion and say 'no' to science (I mean using no product of science and technology).
I don't understand why it is hard to find science. It is understanding a thing with fact, evidence, logic. Whatever we see visible or invisible (some kind of ray) thing (tiny to giant) in this universe, science is there. Except 'mind'.
It's very satisfactory to see that institute like IISER is bringing back the glory of science in India😌
Yeah that too in a time when big institutes like iits are calling relgion preachers instead of scientific peoples
