Atheism exists because... FREE WILL
🤣
Freewill is just a illusion
Free will is a debatable topic. We are governed by societal conditioning and then hormones. Men liking women with dense black hair, red lips, wide hips, do you think that is free will? No, that's biology.
FREE WILL that has to be enforced through power of state just like any religion...
Atheist is not absense of religion that's a religion itself...
@@chesswithsagarif studies are concert, according to psychological research papers like 'Intuitive theist' states every child is born monotheistic due to the innate intuitions of belief of singular God. (Innate Intuition - a idea someone born with, like fear of height and noise).

Everyone is born as an atheist, they eventually follow a religion which their parents are following. Only after sometime some are able to escape the cult because they use their own rational thinking.
What you are referring to sounds like "cultural conditioning," more specifically "religious conditioning" and every person is exposed to it to some degree or other, but yeah, it definitely has a massive impact on an individuals life/choices. I guess check out both the terms if you are interested.
I loved how you used the word cult for religion. There is literally no difference between the two, the only difference is the time period. If it's 50 years old, it's a cult, if it's 500 years old it's a religion.
Saying everyone is born as athiest is same as saying stones and mountains are athiests.
Professor Justin Barrett amongst other says otherwise
@@v3n0mv21 everyone do have supernatural belief as soon as they develop their brain. It's called hyperactive agent detection.

"Anurag being mature soft Atheist and being clear he accepted it living along with it,its practical."
====================================
I am a nobody compared with Anurag Kashyap.
Since the time that I reverted to atheism, I have POLITELY but firmly stopped participating in religion-oriented practices in my family, and among my friends.
*HOWEVER,* I try to help them out (and receive help from them) when it comes to NON-RELIGIOUS activities, which is something that they respect and accept.
There are some persons who have stopped being my friends merely because of my atheism-and I count that as a good thing.

I like this perspective discussed at 03:00

He is implying that the people who believe in their faith believe their faith is the correct one. *To pranav*
About the anurag part on pranav's point -
I think pranav's either misunderstanding anurag's point..or it's simply that I disagree with him.
Because what anurag said, clearly makes sense to me. Like imagine im going on a festival at my nani's house and she gives me a prasad , am I supposed to argue their with the heavy concepts of athiesm? simply no! I'll just take the prasad and eat it. Not bcz im inclined towards the religion or im an athiest for the term. No it's just bcz i don't wanna argue every other person that Im an athiest sure if they'll ask me to belive in the god I'll argue for my beliefs....but if it's as simple as taking a prasad i won't. As vimoh said, choose your fights and there are better fights.
And about anurag saying things about one particular religion, bruh he's talking about his own belief right? He's an hindu? He'll have hindu rituals at his house...he just wanna make others feel respected and don't wanna start an argue over every tiny things (unless and until it's something wrong).
You can chose not to eat prasad, personally, I think this is really subjective. You do what suits you best.
@@lasyak6355 Yeah anyone can choose to and ofc it Is indeed subjective.. but if im denying for taking the prasad I'll have to ans them why Im doing it...and it'll eventually start an argument.. which I don't really want cuz it doesn't make any sense, taking a prasad doesn't just harm anyone or is morally, ethically or in any way wrong so yeah
exactly! and i find those who deny prasad dumb, i mean firstly you are indeed hurting someone who is giving u some food with a good intention, irrespective of the intention you do have a personal connection with them and ruining it is unnecessary and secondly, man who tf in their right senses denies sweets 🤣
kesri bath, laddu, payasam, organised religion is very stupid but they've got one thing definitely figured out lol
@@aryanram02 exactly, that's just extreme of athiesm i feel...Im an athiest but that doesn't mean I'll roam around telling everyone "oh you know im an athiest" and will behave differently with them.. that's just dumb
@@karthik951 yeah they started treating atheist as a different religion now,
as i hear from most of the extreme athiest that we should not promote religion by taking part in puja, festives or prasad consumstion, what nonsense is this bruh?
how are these atheists different from those gurus who says don't do this, don't do that, don't promote other religion?
isn't the whole concept of being a atheist is to have free will?
i would rather be known as a hindu who knows gods existence can't be proven & who is respectful rather than picking a fight with my family for why i won't take prasad.
The same way most Jains, Satvik or any other person who is a vegetarian because of their religious values would not eat meat in my house just to show me respect, I can also deny a Tilak a while visiting their house.
Comparing meat with tilak is ridiculous.
Suppose I cook pork at home and a muslim friend comes to home, should I force him to eat pork? And threaten that if you don't eat pork at my home, I will not drink coffee at ur home.
It's not about only belief. Changing eating habit is very difficult. It can't be compared with tilak because tilak doesn't go to ur stomach...
False analogy
@@Agnostic-l5m to me, subjected to wear a Tilak could be very demeaning and demoralizing as it is a symbol of the religious institution that promote casteism and used to promote widow burning. For me eating meat is a regular thing. If you still don't get the point then please read again and think.
@@SaikatBasak another false analogy. You can't be athiest because USSR state sponsored ãthèism resulted in dèàth of miIIîôñs.
@@Agnostic-l5m What if wearing a tilak was humiliating for me? What if it was against my personal morals? Here, your argument kind of fails when not considering human emotions.

Beerbiceps is like Jules ( Samuel jackson's character) from Pulp fiction. Guy was shot at and came out unscathed and same with Ranbir.
I am an agnostic atheist with Neo-Buddhist background and have no issues in visiting a temple/church/mosque or partaking in a ritual that I have been invited to be a part of. Kashyap makes decent sense to me.
Also, Beerbiceps should stop posturing himself as 'India's smartest podcast' cuz it isnt. And why this insistence on becoming Rogan of India? Just do your thing bro. Have smarter questions to ask! And also start calling it an interview show rather than a podcast.
I remember in the early days I saw one of his shows where he was talking to some dude and his simplistic understanding of the world really amazed me.
Besides taking pride in random Bharatiya things, on one instance he was saying " I am a capitalist". In another, he said "some people call themselves atheist to sound cool". I mean the dude is so out of touch that it was painful to watch. I am all for free markets(with regulations) but to call yourself a capitalist or even a communist for that matter shows that you really havent learnt anything about what has happened in the past 100 years. Additionally, he had no clue that people have paid with their lives by going against god(both in India and overseas). Atheists are not in power in any nation. It is my assertion that people of x religion might vote for candidate of y religion before voting for z, an atheist. Atheist are generally considered estranged even in their families.
But apparently he makes up his world view by assessing the response of two of his interns who might have said that they are atheist to sound "cool". Yeah Ranvir its very very "cool" to call myself such a label. Would you come to my party?
If someone is an Atheist why do they need to ask Vimoh if they should attend Pujas or not as if he is the high priest of the atheist temple??.. Decide for yourself.
I always like the logical answer of vimoh 😂😂😂
Mujhe Laga Abhijit Iyer kaha se aa gaya 😂
I dont know if you guys travel in rural india where these religious beliefs are extreme, if you refused to follow the tradition then there might be hate in your back and you wont get favour in your decision in case if you leading something which requires people support. So yes, I support kashyaps act or thinking to following mass practice which wont harm people in a bad way. At the end we are social animal and have to be lived happily together in society. It will take a lot time to turn people into something more rational.

He has already debunked it on his main channel (science is dope)
I think they are refferening to league of militant atheist, its was in early years that Soviets believed that in few years they can end religion as they considered religion as bourgeoisie & yes they do convert churches & mosques into other building apart from destroying them later towards end of Soviet Union they softened their stance on religion.

Religion shouldn't be demonised. Don't take away religion from people who can't think for themselves
Anurag Kashyap's cigarette in cab analogy fails. Not doing or not following any rituals is your choice. It's not the same as choosing to smoke if the driver allows. You don't smoke if the driver tells you to smoke if you're not a smoker. You don't follow rituals if someone enforces on you if you're not a believer. It's just about that.
Asking a non smoker to smoke is not a petty thing like accepting prasad or applying tilak, don't do equivalence fallacy .
He is not smoking or asking before smoking in his cab because "he is in his cab" not in his own house, where he can live as per his wishes, once you are out you have to respect other's wishes too .
@@rudraksh3872 I didn't find any valid points from both of your comments to debate. But I will address the last line from the first comment of yours here. I will respect other's wishes if the 'other' respects mine. Period. No, it doesn't mean that I would start disrespecting this 'other' or their faith or belief. It's just I would care less. Don't expect if it's a majority follows and this 'other' expects by default that I have to agree upon their wishes is the most stupid thing I have been witnessing since my boyhood. When this 'other' already has a majority to validate their faith, wishes, or beliefs then how one person like me having different views would offend, shatter, and disvalue the formers!! I mean if I discard, disregard, disobey, and disbelieve with respect then respect my opinion too. Why get offended? It shows how insecure this 'other's' faith and belief is, and how it requires so much validation from someone like me. It's not just about that, the demeanor I wear being not in this 'other's' belief system startles them to the core and makes them get infuriated and they start blasting. A typical inferior and insecure behavior. I don't understand why a belief system, faith, and one's wishes need validation at all from some non-believer or anyone else in any case when it's already the semantics of these words that imply personal or private.
Those who don’t know the difference between communism and atheism.. they’re sitting and calling their show as smartest podcast of India

Don't hate religions too much. You might have grown out of the faith part of religion (through science, reasoning etc) but religion is way more than just faith. Religion forms backbone of civilizations, ripping it out and throwing it can be dangerous or atleast backwards. Leaving religion from enlightenment is one thing but taking religion away from people who can't think for themselves can cause decadence. God is dead said Nietzsche , he had an interesting take on this

16:48 "Tilak nhi laguanga" Yes, Nobody will kick you out but remember these people have privilege positions.
In a middle class family your family members who are in different fields than you might just open doors for you to get a privileged access to some avenue you may have not gotten access to 1 way or the other.
So it's not as easy as saying, "Nhi lagaunga" because you're closing a door on you.
For a businessman like me it's essentially me saying, "If you value your religion, do not buy from my shop because I don't wish to partake in your beliefs and somehow I am challenging those core beliefs" which is how they interpret those actions (I have done something similar and now I am facing repercussions of it)
False equivalence 😅

You might think it's "false equivalence" but they don't.
That's the whole point. It doesn't matter what logical contradiction it is. It's not even logic they give a bloody fuck about.

I'm not justifying the tilak superstition. It is a garbage superstition. I'm saying why people have to follow it regardless of what they believe. It's not a 50/50 choice.
I feel you brother. Even though I have made it clear numerous times that I don't believe in any god I still have to participate in religious ceremonies with my family, but I make my intentions clear to them that I am doing it because I am being coerced and not because I want to. But it's not so bad as I only have to face it every holi-diwali and not on a regular basis.
The same situation goes with colleagues but I don't participate as much as I do with my parents because it doesn't matter that much.
My girlfriend is religious too, and so is her family and she has told her family that I am "not so religious", which is a huge understatement. I am yet to see how my future in laws react to my irreligiousity, I hope it's not too bad.
if believing in god and practicing religion is hypocritical then isn't denying the existence is as hypocritical.
What the last guy said is what Sanatan is, It has been badly distorted and mistranslated.

If they insist me on participating, then i loose my guns and teach them philosophical and science behind them. I prove them hawan are useless in today's climate when CO2 is more than 400 ppm and AQI is more than 200 for most months here in north India. I disagree that you can't be a hindu and an atheist. Hinduism is the only religion that had the concept of astik and nastik. There were many hindu saints and common people who didn't believe in any particular god but believed in the ideas of Hinduism or hindu dharma. They were the nastiks. So it's definitely possible to be an atheist and still follow the teachings of Hinduism that do not involve any religious rituals. Most of those teachings are about morality and stuff. All in all I'm just saying that Hinduism isn't just the god stuff. It's more than that. I myself am an atheist but I enjoy participating in several religious traditions not because there's any religious sentiments behind it but just because they are fun. Like lighting a diwali diya doesn't directly mean that I believe in Ram. Just means I like lighting diyas and how beautiful it looks when i arrange them in certain ways.
Obviously I wouldn't encourage castist or sexist traditions, but I would also not take it too seriously.
It depends on what is your definition of Hindu and Hinduism. Is it a religious group, or a cultural group, or simply people living in a certain geographical region (i.e. Indian sub-continent). If it is a religious group then Atheists are not Hindus, but are Hindus in other definitions.
