I remember I once got Railgun, Prototype Railgun, Alpha Bullet, Omega Bullet, and duct tape on a rainbow run with the Robot, and because it was a rainbow run, I was trashing all of the non-rainbow chests, so I had a whole bunch of trash (and Robot gets a +5% damage boost per trash). I duct taped the weapons and literally erased just about everything that wasn't a boss (due to dps cap) in one shot.
Best thing I made with duct tape has to be combine rifle(after a reload so it disintegrates enemies) and composite gun it was so good due to the combine didn't change on reload so much fun
I once duct taped sraffe gun the gungine and another time bees to gungine also my friend once duct taped hammer and the fat line
My best combo was strangely attaching a Pitchfork to a Gamma Ray. I had Big Boy and Crutch with it so it annihilated everything in Bullet Hell without issue including the Lich and barely had to aim.
Unironically, the "If you want to beat Gungeon Just play Rainbow Mode" advice worked perfectly for me. I've NEVER got an infinite ammo weapon, but I've found the game a lot less of a slog in the first area since getting Rainbow and rarely go back.

Never had an issue with difficulty, but lately I've been playing rainbow runs a lot but it just gets tiring. I don't want to be batshit overpowered each time, because the game is so easy I fall asleep going through rooms.

@@minerover6103 be sure to enable aim assist it goes a long way 50% or higher will make the game in general easier, and in some cases actually playable, once you get the hang of the motions you can slowly decrease it if it feels too cheatsy.
I had it at 100% after I died like 12 times in a row b/c I couldn't hit anything, currently around 60% and have beaten the dragun twice. console of choice is nintendo switch

Fun Fact: in the official version, if a rainbow chest shows up in a chest room during a rainbow run, it lets you have the whole chest. Happened a couple months ago. And i had clone.

You can choose weather to pick up passives and actives but no guns

I really like a rainbow mode run. I think the most important part of a successful one is the knowledge of the items and guns that you get as an option so as to get the best combos/better options, and you having so much experience, it's quite easy to make it an op run. Love your videos, you're the reason I keep playing enter the gungeon even when I feel like I'm not progressing too much in the runs.

Don't know if you still do custom runs, but you should do a Mod the Gungeon run where you start with and are only allowed to use Black Hole Gun and Abyssal Tentacle (mostly there for the synergy with Black Hole Gun) for weapons, and Remote Bullets and Yellow Chamber (mainly there for the synergy with Abyssal Tentacle, to make it more reliable as a back up gun in case BHG runs out of ammo) as you're passive items. You are allowed to use any ammo increasing passive items you find and/or Relodestone to compensate for the BHG's low ammo capacity.
It probably seems super easy on paper, but the BHG's low ammo capacity and the fact that Abyssal Tentacle eats through ammo super quickly makes this much harder than you'd think.
On an unrelated note, BHG (Black Hole Gun) + Abyssal Tentacle (for the synergy with BHG) + Remote Bullets is perhaps the single most broken combination in Enter the Gungeon. BHG's projectiles last almost indefinitely (or maybe just an extremely long time) until they hit a wall or object (i.e. a table), and since remote bullets lets you control the projectiles...

Crisis stone allows you to smoke cigarettes infinitely during the reload without a damage penalty.
i really like doing rainbow mode, i don't do them very often just because I prefer the regular game but I have fun whenever I play it

I literally just unlocked rainbow mode a couple days ago and thought it's pretty fun... I found this video researching it
when he said "well it can't be that good, we don't have casey" i forgot completely it had been an hour since the furst chest where i malded over him not picking casey
Elitism and gatekeeping shows up for every video game community and it sucks. Actually, there are gatekeepers for *every* community to exist, really. People telling you you aren't good enough to enjoy x because of y is both infuriating and depressing. Let people enjoy things without trashing them (unless they're negatively affecting or actively harming or hurting someone/something). I think it's good that you left the discord there, because some people fixate on dragging others down and probably would've continued doing that no matter what you did.
On a lighter note, your rainbow runs are always fun to watch, they get crazy strong. Then again, your normal mode runs have been getting pretty crazy good as well. Good video.

Unfortunately, you can't get the Gungeon Blueprint during Rainbow Mode, for some reason.
Baby good shelaton (dont know if i spelled it right) is one of my favorite items. But yet Rito never talks about it that it apeared like 3 times (even after familiair buff banner)
