I've seen a lot of concerts since 1983 and can safely say Brent's voice is the best "LIVE" voice I've ever heard. I never got to see Queen and Freddie though.

I just discovered Shinedown and let me just say wow! This man sings like his heart is being ripped out of his chest. Perfectly appropriate given what the song is about, so intense and beautiful. I think I'm in love with this band now, haha.

This guy can sing. Shinedown is my boy love all his music
it is the Duo that makes the Magic... Yes, Brent makes everything he sings his own, his range and tone are amazing, Zach can play anything on that acoustic and the sound is also just as amazing. Then they can step on stage, plug in the electrics and go to 11.

What brent has is god given and cannot be taught or learned it's all natural and will be a super fan for life.

I have been listening to Shinedown for abiut 4 years now and get are by far one of he best bands around, once I heard their take on nothing else matters I was more amazed then when I first heard the band 4 years ago,keep up the great work,keep doing what your doing because it's working.

Very very good, the first few times I heard Shinedown I actually thought it was Chris Cornell singing for them lol. Probably the highest compliment you can receive as a singer
He did learn how to sing by listening to Chris Cornell and Eddie Vedder and Axle Rose and soul singers like Ottis Redding and came up with his voice. He has done a line or 2 of a sound garden song sounded just like Chris. He did sing Black Hole Sun live at Smith and Myers show after he passed. It is on CZcams

I would really like to hear a remake of this in the style of the second S&M album. Still acoustic but with drums and other key instruments. Brent always does an amazing job on vocals but this song’s legacy is the drums. It feels like it’s missing something without them.
@@Sleepysnorlax1 He might have just wanted to do something different with the song. He did have some kind of drum like instrument when they did this live. It was the icing on the cake!!

Normally I dislike acoustic versions of songs and dislike when an original gets covered by another band, but some how this song broke through both of those and made me fall in love with this it. I do miss the drum solo, but not as much as you'd expect.
