The review of the national minimum wage is crucial amidst the drastic increase in food prices. Unfortunately, Nigeria's leaders appear to be detached from the citizens' struggles, prioritizing their own interests.
Tinubu's political prospects are suffering due to his perceived indifference to the economic hardships faced by Nigerians. Meanwhile, the National Assembly is guilty of excessive spending, and the Executive branch is squandering funds on unnecessary expenses and benefits. Only the Judiciary seems to be functioning, albeit partially. The cost of food and transportation have skyrocketed, making it unaffordable for over 85% of Nigerians. Moreover, the healthcare system is on the verge of collapse, yet there are no concerted efforts to address these pressing issues.
The situation demands urgent attention and effective leadership to alleviate the suffering of Nigerian citizens.
