Haltech now has the Nexus R5, which takes place of the logging portion of the dash, and takes care of the IO expansion part, as well as a few other functions, including built in wideband controller. So, the IC7 dash, and the Nexus R5, plus the thermocouple amp (you can get them now with 8 thermocouple ports in a single unit) would end up costing likely around the same amount, but it would cut down on a lot of the extra devices that were necessary with the Elite series.
I don’t think it was available or even announced when this video was released, but anyone stumbling across this now has another option to look at if they want.

It's a test for all you guys to learn about. Its a huge investment for me to do this but I feel it was one that needed to be done. I hope heaps of people can learn from what Ive done. Motec definitely nice bit of gear. I see you opted for the $600 firmware upgrade to "unlock" those extra features? this is my only gripe with the motec. The Motec expansion solution is alot nicer i personally dislike the fact there's all these extra "add on" boxes that need to be bought. With the haltech ps2000 i have only the wideband box. I don't see personally that egts a super critical of a thing to have. I'm actually buying a new elite 750 soon and a wideband box for another car so will be interested in what your asking for it all.

I know what cylinder is missing or if there is ever any issues. I love it and I have over 40 sensors in my RBM3. Logging temps in every single spot you could think of along with pressure sensors and so on.

Always a hard decision. The initial price gets you in the door. So you essentially started with the base stuff and continued upgrading until you had to move to the MoTeC to keep up with all the inputs and features. So after all the tuning and redoing of harnesses to save money starting with the Haltech, you essentially spent 14,000+ plus on the hardware alone. Money is always an issue, just hate to see people waste all the time and money rebuying parts when it could have been done right the first time. Pay attention to the professionals that have to do it day in and out. Not the CZcamsr that started yesterday.

Doesn't matter where it comes from. It helps boost the video anyway

Motec is marginal without buying an external box; and expensive; your prices for Haltech were way off; the Elite 2500 is $2000 USD Motec M130 starts at $3200 USD. Not sure why you needed all the external HaltechTA boxes unless you're using EGT on every cylinder; which is a bit much. If all your sensors are thermocouple style then maybe you could use a Haltech 550 for $850.
If your going to 'document' these things at least be honest. If your disgruntled with Haltech; state it upfront and document that rather than deceive viewers.

All prices were correct at the time I made the video mate. All boxes for the haltech are needed to run everything on my engine. The fact you question the reason behind "needing" egts for each cylinder pretty well confirms your knowledge so no need to talk further about that.
I got no issue with haltech, I just won't be using their product on anything I own personally. Motec has been the best financial decision I've ever made in my Motorsport career, wish I did it ealier.
At the end of the day I tell people to do what ever their tuner recommends as they are in control of your tune/engine etc. I'm simply sharing my knowledge/experiences that's all.
